I disagree. When people are openly fascist, it makes it more acceptable to be fascist. They should be scared. They should be timid and afraid. They should be paranoid to congregate with their kind.
I searched his name. There's lots of pics of him out there. He's not trying to hide ... he likes the fame. Although that might change if he does 2+ years in jail.
Yeah… Being asked to defend the pro-pedophilia position of your company may be a sign that you should quit. Or be the guy who defended pedophiles in parliament. I dunno.
“One of the challenges we see is, for example, people sharing this content out of outrage because they want to raise awareness of an issue and see something in the media,” Pickles testified
I couldn’t imagine just leaving my dog there because I didn’t have a crate. If my dogs are with me, and they can’t fly, then I can’t fly. Pisses me off how some people treat animals. My dogs are my whole world. If you do something like this you should be blacklisted from every owning a dog again.
Yes, I’m in 100% agreement, I wish we could treat people how they treat animals.
That aside, the article says it’s a license French bulldog. Those fuckers are EXPENSIVE. I can’t imagine just ditching thousand of dollars like that (morality of it aside).
Oh no, I missed that part. Jeez, someone has more money than they know what to do with. Money makes some people so shitty. Not that they weren’t before, but seems like it really brings it out of some people.
eh, dairy cows are slaughtered at 4-6, and they're the oldest animals to be slaughtered. Most animals are MONTHS or WEEKS old. not years.
Also, male chicks are macerated (mashed up alive) at just one to two hours old, because they're "useless". THey won't ever lay eggs, and they won't grow big enough to be worth it for meat chickens, so they're mashed up alive at a few hours. This is what you support when you support animal ag.
Yeup. IIRC, cattle are generally killed for their flesh from 1-2 years old, or about 5-10% of their natural lifespan. I was just saying 4-8 years for humans to be a more relatable comparison.
I live in a college town. Several of our dogs came from the shelter, one of them was found in an empty apartment. Her owner moved and just left her, probably assumed someone would take her to the shelter.
It’s apparently pretty common around here. Luckily someone found her, but some of these apartments don’t immediately have a new tenant and the dog dies.
I just can’t imagine doing this. Our dogs are part of the family.
one of them was found in an empty apartment. Her owner moved and just left her,
So a warrant for animal abuse was issued for her arrest, yes? If she was a college student she may be gone for years, but it would be great if she were to be arrested when she returns for her 10 year reunion.
I can’t comment since I didn’t find her, only got her from the shelter, but I sure hope so. She’s an amazingly sweet dog too so that just breaks my heart even more for her. At least she’s in good hands now.
Democrats are never going to kill the golden goose. The Roe leak alone made them $80,000,000 in contributions. Being anti-choice accomplishes the same objective for Republicans: lots and lots of money, money that candidates can legally pay themselves by making loans to their campaigns at 20% interest.
Senator Kennedy died and Obama lost his seat to a republican. It came down to Senator Lieberman, who was deep in insurance company pockets, as several were headquartered in his state. He killed single payer, not obama.
Obamas fuck up was doing things “the right way” by negotiating with the GOP for nearly a year, only to have every single one of them vote nea. His second fuck up was waiting until the special election of Kennedy’s replacement was over instead of just going ham and forcing a vote.
His third and more esoteric fuck up for single payer was years later, when he did not decalre that the senate had opted to abandon its right to “affirm and assent” a supreme court justice, and just flat out seat Justice Merrick, forcing a constitutional crisis that would have most likely resolved in locking down that seat.
So yes, big pharma was a big part of the fuck you that happened , but it wasn’t as simple as “obama big pharma buddy buddy.”
So, so many voters in absolute denial here. We could have real change if the 49% that votes Democrat voted Green instead. The Greens would actually try to get you legal abortion at the federal level, too.
I’d just like to sit in on the closed door leadership meetings where they admit they think Paul masterfully hijacked the gospels and grew Christianity into a tool for oppression. Then divise ways to fuck over their own congregations.
Hmm, so what did they increase it to? Oh look only $20.65/hour., and I’ve heard of some school districts only paying during the driving meaning you show up for work early AM to pick up your bus as a driver and start being paid. You pick up and drop off kids for your routes. Now its maybe 9am. No more pay for you until you go back to the school and pick kids up again to take them home at maybe 2pm. I don’t know if this district does this, BTW.
$20.65/hour is way WAY too low for a job with lots of unpaid hours in the middle of the shift, and having to be responsible and deal with kids that can’t behave enough on a school bus.
From experience, there is nothing preventing you from leaving, except that anything you do has to be close enough to the bus lot and meticulously scheduled to allow for you to drive from the bus lot to where you need to be and back while also allowing any prep time, especially if you need to pretrip your bus.
In other words, in theory, you can do whatever you want. In practice, you’re straight up tethered to that lot. I worked out my actual pay last year. I made $22/hrs working for a major national transportation service. My average paid time was about 6.5 hours. My layover time was two separate segments. I had 2.5 hours of driving in the AM, about 1.5 in the late AM, and another 2.5 in the PM. These were separate by 2 hours, and then 2.5 hours. So, the reality of this schedule meant that I couldn’t do much of anything on my downtime. I was obligated to 11 hours, only 6.5 of which I was paid. So, the reality was that I was making $13/hr. That math convinced me not to return this year. That, and my shit benefits caused me to get a $1,400 lab bill for work that was only $45 on my previous insurance. They screw you. They screw you coming, they screw you going, and anything that goes wrong is always your fault, while they’re quick to take credit when things go well.
We were one of the places nailed with Fiona last year, not looking forward to another potentially active hurricane season, many still haven’t fully recovered from last year.
