A parent with a coldsore kissed their kid and transferred the virus to their kid. That really sucks, but it’s not uncommon for parents to accidentally pass along HSV1 to kids by giving them a peck on the cheek when they’re unknowingly contagious.
Big bummer about getting HSV1 as a kid is that you can’t get antivirals for flair ups until you’re 12. So you have to be that crusty kid for a week or two at school… at least until high school.
There are many things adults should and should not do in the early years of a child’s life to set them up for success in the future… including not inoculating their mouths with decay causing bacteria (common pathway is testing food temp on a spoon, then using the same spoon in the baby’s mouth).
Sadly, American politics is turning to “whoever spends the most wins.” And she’s going up against a LOT of dark money. The DNC needs every penny they can get.
Also, we desperately need to over turn citizens united to stop the constant race to spend more every year.
What are they doing in that apartment complex? If they are selling drugs or trafficking people, that’s already against the law and doesn’t need a new bill. If they are trying some complex plan to overthrow the county and make it a Venezuelan enclave, then well, maybe something needs to be done other than enforcing existing laws. Otherwise, it’s just a bunch of people from the same community living together.
