That whole underground bunker series is starting to get a little too reality TV like for me. I don’t watch him often but when it shows make it outside of his channel I end up catching glimpses.
Jaden animation recently won a million dollars to give to her subscribers.
But he pit a bunch of the YouTubers in a squid game competition which makes the ratings but isn’t a great look.
Reddit, about yesterday, started to implement a change…
They have the old Reddit interface and then the one that replaced it (“new Reddit”) and the current interface you see on Reddit replaced that. People don’t like the most recent interface iteration but had the option to go to “new Reddit” or “old Reddit” by vising the appropriate links.
Notably, each newer interface seems to be more stressful for the servers to run. Still, likely a decent amount of folks don’t like the newest interface so likely the load balances out.
Yesterday though, they “pulled the lever” and “new Reddit” is no more. (This was announced about a month ago at this link but they only got around to doing it yesterday.) Those people trying to access “new Reddit” are redirected to the latest interface. You have the option to use the oldest Reddit interface or the newest one but not the “new Reddit” one. Since the latest interface seemed to use the most server resources before, it is interesting how Reddit seemed to have their severs overloaded a bit when they made the switchover.
On Reddit, people have been upset in /r/help that this has happened but Reddit will likely continue on with this change anyway. Old Reddit will continue to be supported (at least for now anyway).
And now we’re voting between “Literal fascist who hired cops to harm minorities” and “literal cop who harmed minorities”. And before that was “Literal fascist who hired cops to harm minorities” and “Wrote the bills to enable cops to harm minorities and protected rape victims.”
Governments don’t protect you, me, or anyone, they never give you the freedoms, only take them. Keep your wits, stay safe, and drink water.
Let’s look at minimum wage at the time he was imprisoned: $3.35/hour. Make that his wage the entire time he was in prison. After the first 40 hours a week he’d get OT, so it comes out to about $3,300/month. Since he wasn’t able to spend that money, let’s put a monthly payment into the market, with an average return of 7%…
That would put him at $6,587,619.39 at the end of 37 years if we value his freedom at the 1987 minimum wage.
The FBI has failed to report some child sexual abuse allegations to local law enforcement or social service agencies even after changes prompted by its handling of the case against former USA Gymnastics team doctor Larry Nassar, according to a Justice Department watchdog report released Thursday.
In a review brought on by the FBI’s failures to promptly investigate Nassar, the inspector general found serious problems persist that run the risk of child sexual abuse allegations falling through the cracks as overworked agents juggle dozens of cases at a time. In one case, a victim was abused for 15 months after the FBI first received a tip about a registered sex offender, the report said.
I’d love to see more money going towards fixing these agencies.
Everyone posting quotes from the trump side, so here’s what the Army said:
“This incident was unfortunate, and it is also unfortunate that the ANC employee and her professionalism has been unfairly attacked. ANC is a national shrine to the honored dead of the Armed Forces, and its dedicated staff will continue to ensure public ceremonies are conducted with the dignity and respect the nation’s fallen deserve,” the statement said.
So the Army sided with the people at the cemetery, and tge following paragraphs indicate the Pentagon does as well.
