Prosecutors Marc Bennett and Barry Wilkerson concluded in their 124-page report that the staff at the Marion County Record committed no crimes before former Marion Police Chief Gideon Cody led a raid on its offices and the home of its publisher. They said police warrants signed by a judge to allow the searches contained inaccurate information from an “inadequate investigation” and that the searches were not legally justified.
Cool cool cool. Do the warrant that killed Breonna Taylor next.
Police body camera footage of the 2023 raid on Publisher Eric Meyer’s home shows his 98-year-old mother, Joan Meyer, visibly upset and telling officers, “Get out of my house!” She co-owned the paper, lived with her son and died of a heart attack the next afternoon.
Did they protect, or serve her to death? Gotta be one of the two, right?
I did not have to Google this. I have it bookmarked and downloaded a copy. No antitrust case will get rid of our bad news happening to bad people mascot.

In late June, Oklahoma’s Republican state education superintendent, Ryan Walters, ordered public schools in the state to immediately incorporate the Bible and the Ten Commandments into their curricula, following the passage that month of a law in Louisiana with a similar mandate – and which was quickly challenged on constitutional grounds.
Louisiana passed a law that empowered the Oklahoma state education superintendent to make changes? Setting aside the very, very obvious constitutional issues, (we all know they only care about the 2nd Amendment anyhow) how does that logic work even for someone with R next to their name?
Louisiana forced the eleven commandments to be displayed in schools. Their plan is to have taxpayers pay the legal fees all the way up to the Supreme Crooks.
IIf you’re curious about recovery but don’t want a “higher power” program or steps and sponsors, consider Lifering and Smart Recovery. Both offer online meetings if they’re not in your area.
Additionally, a medical outpatient program is worth considering. Before enrolling, ensure that 12-step alternatives are available or not part of their program.
Secular stuff exists, and research has shown that one size fits all recovery doesn’t produce the best results. You need to find the program that works for you, not be forced into something that isn’t a good fit.
Amazing that they recognize how awful that interview went, but still think it’s the interviewers’ fault for asking him questions and not Trump’s fault for being a belligerent idiot.
So…people are only black if their family came directly to America from Africa? Being enslaved in other countries first means they aren’t black?
And if you’re mixed-race, and you don’t count as being any of those races?
And no mixed race person should become president because you’re taking away the chance for a single race person to be the first of that race to be president? And I think they forgot there was already a black president. Or are they saying the first woman president should be white so they don’t take away the ability for a white person to be the first woman president since black people already got a first?

In what ridiculous fantasy world is VOA LEAST BIASED??!?? They’re state-owned media! They do good factual reporting, but they’re US biased to the core! That’s they’re whole damn job!
The long-range interests of the United States are served by communicating directly with the peoples of the world by radio.
THATS THE FIRST. SENTENCE. OF THEIR CHARTER.
Look their work is good and they are important, but just what the hell does MBFC think “bias” means??
It’s crucial to note that our bias scale is calibrated to the political >spectrum of the United States, which may not align with the >political landscapes of other nations.
From their methodology page.
They aren’t rating for any and all bias. They are rating for political bias within the context of the US political landscape.
Which makes it even more absurd considering some of their other ratings. They rate The Washington Post as leftist. The Washington Post. The newspaper for respectable Republicans owned by the platonic ideal of a capitalist. The newspaper every movie and television show in the nation uses to show what the Republicans think about something while they use the New York Times to show what the Democrats think about something. When they say they’re telling you the US political landscape they’re just lying. It’s a garbage bot using a garbage source.
That’s not even to speak of all the other terrible problems with this source that have been documented by others elsewhere which I encourage you to read.
