I got my first Covid in the summer 2022, it was horrible and it was just the tip of the iceberg. I went from working out 5-6 days at week (for 50-70min) to waking up already exhausted. I tried to rest, I tried to work out regardless (and it was super hard to recover) I was always exhausted. This has a toll on all aspects of my life, relationships got severed by me not being available, work was ok (thank goodness I am at a seniority level lower than I actually am) but not great. I went to the doctors but there is no test for long covid so they started testing me for everything and, of course, got lost in all possible imperfection of my body
In December 2023 I got my second Covid. It wasn’t that bad and, incredibly, after that I started to slowly (over months) to recover. I am still not at the level I used to be before (I get tired much more easily) but now I can have a normal life.
Yes, I had 3 vaccines doses before my first Covid… and, even if in my country the Covid vaccine is discouraged for people that aren’t old enough, I keep on doing.
Some people are just more susceptible and it is not the “cold” that some people think it is
If Trump kicks Vance off the ticket, I’d be interested to see who at this point would be willing to throw in with him. You have to think that list is even shorter now than it was a month ago

There were gallows and chanting of “hang Mike pence’ when he decided to follow his station’s duty and not allow theft of a rightful election. There’s multiple pieces of footage from 1/6/21 that shows this.
And? Like I told that person, you’re pointing to a hearsay article where three people say that another person told them that he seemed to support the idea. It’s the same type of story the girl gave about Trump lunging at the Secret Service inside the Presidential limo, which we know to be false now. So I assume that’s what you’re calling proof?

I appreciate the Guardian because they do occasionally break some news, but I have always been aware they’re on par with outlets like Fox News and Daily Mail. Same methods and style, just in the other direction.
I generally cross check them against someone else before I just go ahead and believe them. This is just a good idea, no matter how you may feel about how their articles sound.
They and any other network that wants to be considered “journalism/news” should NOT be allowed to have their opinion entertainment shows on the same network/channel as their journalistic programs.
It’s absolute bullshit that they’re allowed to get away with this crap where working hours when no one is home to watch is when we have our journalists on, then primetime is when we lie with impunity on our opinion shows because It’S EnTeRtAiNmEnT NoT NeWs!
I’m really sick of the fact that Fox has had this decade long run of “The Days of our Trump’s” drama…

It’s because the Overton window has shifted so far right that neutral reporting is now considered center-left. And even when factual reporting is high, it’s still possible to be biased because of what stories you choose to report on. For instance, maybe a news source is extremely accurate and adds very little opinion, but exclusively reports on topics that are on one side of the spectrum.
