I guess they dont see the the sin of knowingly condemning someone to that life. People should only have children if they are confident they can offer them stable lives.
They also restore run down areas of the city, start small businesses that hire local, support their community and help future immigrants, bring culture and part of what makes America great.
I live in Canada and I have never and never will get to vote for the head of the executive or my head of state. And yet parliamentary systems are still considered democracies.
Not sure about Canada specifically, maybe you could shed some light, but the US president has a lot more power than in a typical parlimentary system. This is typically why it’s seen as essential that they are voted in directly. Would the US be better under a parlimentary system? Very valid debate.
Couldn’t you join a party and then you get to vote for the parties leader ? Don’t see much of a difference between that and the primary system other then you have to officially join the party, which I’m not sure what that entails, as opposed to just registering to vote for it.
I would never bother. Party membership isn’t common. About 1 to 2 percent of Canadians are registered since there are usually fees and other requirements. Justin Trudeau was elected party leader in 2013. Around. 104,000 party members voted.
Parliamentary systems are clearly fucking better - it’s insane that president is a directly elected office in the US… That all said - it is a directly elected office so an election should happen.
I’ll vote for Harris if she wins the roll call but I’m still disappointed there wasn’t a mini-primary or at least an open convention.
Can confirm, I can’t stop my feminization, my wife can’t bake so I make all the tradwife things like cakes and muffins. She also hates painting her nails and we can’t afford regular manicures, so I’ve become very good at trimming and painting nails.

It’s almost like people are just people and will do what they need to do regardless of if it’s gendered or not.
This whole feminization thing is stupid. Men have done stereotypical feminine things for thousands of year, and women have done masculine things for just as long. It used to be taboo a century ago for women to wear pants, now no one bats an eye. It’s been a running joke that men can’t cook for decades, even though now all of my male friends, single, dating, or married, are all very proficient cooks and often cook more than their wives.
The people obsessed with gender are insane. How someone acts in their own life should be no concern of anyone else.
Im guessing they see it as voting for a woman is submissive because you’re acknowledging that a woman has more power than you, whereas marrying a woman means the man has power over the woman.
The stock market has been surging at the drop of any rumor or data point that would indicate the fed will drop interest rates for two years.
Suddenly economic data pops up that might indicate conditions for an interest rate drop are forming and the market shits itself?
IMO the market got fat over the summer. Now that the institutional investors are getting back from vacation season they are profit taking ahead of the EOQ.
