Oops Dei is hardcore cult within the Catholic Church. And before anyone replies with “the Catholic Church is already a cult”, know that Opus Dei makes conventional Catholicism look like a casual bake sale.
Opus Dei frequently recruits Catholic teens through ‘youth clubs’ to be ‘numeraries’. They specifically target smart kids who are emotionally vulnerable and/or neuro-divergent, and groom them to join their movement. The goal is to get them fully subservient and brainwashed by the time they are in their late teens. At that point they sequester them in sanctioned housing where every aspect of their lives can be controlled, and they push them hard through college. This is also when they are inducted into the movement as numeraries and pushed into a life of celibacy in complete service of the movement. (There is another type of Opus Dei members called ‘super-numeraries’ who are Catholics recruited as adults after they are married. They are also exploited by the movement, but not to the same degree.)
After college numeraries remain trapped in this housing and lifestyle. Opus Dei then sends them out to work in conventional jobs (usually higher-paying ones to maximize their income theft). And all of the income the bring in is taken by the movement for their nefarious plans. The relationships of numeraries are totally controlled, to the point where any friends or family members who express concern about their well-being are cut out of their lives. Any emotional trauma or mental illness they have is left untreated, and is exploited by the movement to keep them subservient.
A numerary’s life is controlled utterly by the movement. As mentioned before, all their income is given to the movement. Their daily schedules are completely controlled. Self-flagilation (not in a fun sexy way) is encouraged to keep them fully-ridden and obedient. And when possible, they are pushed into working with Catholic teens to perpetuate the recruitment and grooming process.
Opus Dei is a fucking cancer on society. It doesn’t surprise me at all that they are involved in Project 2025.

When chipotle first started the lines where long and the food was good. Their process flow was optimized for the constant stream of customers.
They had a large staff of people for the size of the restaurant so people had dedicated jobs with a few who spent all day cleaning.
They were always way under on their holding times for the food. They separated people handling hot and cold ingredients and the till.
From a foodborne pathogen aspect it was a really safe place to eat.
Then they overbuilt, increased their prices and lost quality control. Their customer flow started declining. With the decrease in customers, food was pushing holding times, crews were reduced so more cross-contamination occured, and cleaning fell way behind.
Today Chipotle can be referred to as “shitpotle” as the probability of foodborne disease is pretty much guaranteed.

Often, somebody may have gone to college quite some time ago, so what you learned in college doesn’t necessarily translate to skills that the job market demands,” Nguyen said.

This has been the case for 30 years. The most basic point of hiring people with degrees were, it was used as a litmus test to see if you could commit to something that is difficult and expensive and follow through for 4 years. The second, and more important, was to help ensure you would get someone that knew how to read, write, analyze, and employ critical thinking.

In the shadow of antibiotics, diclofenac, a common painkiller also for human use, has become a “blockbuster drug” in more-than-human medicine. High-yielding cows undergo relentless cycles of pregnancy by artificial insemination, birth, and lactation. In India, diclofenac was the drug of choice to treat the many pains of high-performance cows, among them mastitis, a painful inflammation of the udder.
Diclofenac is a cheap, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) and thus within the same class of pharmaceuticals as aspirin (ASS) or ibuprofen.
Diclofenac has been sold since 1973 under the brand name Voltaren as an over-the-counter remedy for arthritis pain in humans and domestic animals. With the end of patent protection, it has become one of the most widely used NSAIDs across the world, and its generics are available in India under a variety of brands.
Human and other mammalian bodies metabolize diclofenac and excrete it via the kidneys and the renal system. Healthy mammalian kidneys can deal with the drug reasonably well. To birds, however, diclofenac is a deadly toxin. Birds who ingest diclofenac die of severe renal failure as the effect of kidney necrosis.
Based on emerging evidence of avian kidney toxicity, scientific and political pressure led to the eventual ban of diclofenac for veterinary use in India in 2006. However, many veterinarians consider diclofenac so important for the care of milk cows that they continue to use the drug illegally by misappropriating drugs designated for human use only. Pharmaceutical companies played along by labeling the liquid 30 ml vials, popular among veterinarians injecting the drug, as multi-dosage preparations for human usage
The ignoring the science part for sure is bad, especially by the manufacturers. But they have probably also saved many human lives by providing more and cheaper food, which was the point of the hybridization in the article.
There seem to be better all around alternatives now, though maybe not as cheap or well known yet.
Hopefully they will continue to replace this old drug and the vultures may someday bounce back.
Science is wonderful, but when we use it for greed, it can become quite terrible as well.
