Glad Project 2025 is becoming public knowledge, it’s not hyperbole, people really are going to die if Trump is re-elected. That’s not a threat, that’s an acknowledgement of what the GOP plans to do.
I remember when “Race war now?” was just an edgy 4chan meme… Better days, used to on the internet when someone was being racist it was a comedy routine mocking the absurdity of racism, nowadays… people actually mean that shit.
Sadly I remember the “Bugaloo” movement, because everything has to be a joke now, even repeating the Civil War…
Since when did they have free checking? Are we talking about people grandfathered in who opened accounts ages ago? Every time I’ve checked they had terrible options.
to waive, meet a minimum balance requirement of $1,500 at the beginning of each day or have at least $500 in monthly direct deposits or keep at least $5,000 across Chase accounts
Look into online banks like Ally or credit unions. I’m 99%sure that Ally has no minimum requirement and about a 4% interest rate for money in your savings account.
Oh I’ve got accounts with like half a dozen banks. Chase is not one of them. They are not offering me anything better than what I can get at multiple other banks. I’ve got a credit union as well. I never understood why most people feel like they’re suppose to have One bank. Spread that shit around!
Please, weaponize this! I know the last place you want to go is a Fox News comment section or FB posts but these people need to see how they will be personally affected too.
Weaponize the cuts to social security and medicare as much as you can. Yes, lots of conservatives are a lot cause. But I’m not asking you to reach them on the moral issues, I’m asking to get them rightfully scared of losing social security and medicare/medicaid. Make it personal.
They also need to know they don’t need to vote for anyone. It’s perfectly valid to leave the space blank if they are not comfortable voting for Biden.
The option exists to not vote straight R, and no one will ever know. They can vote Biden and vote R for everything else, and still pretend they voted for Trump.
Better to try to get them not to vote at all I think. Push that and it might convince them to go vote when they might possibly have been willing not to. And other offices are also very important.
We can all pretend to have so much outrage over Biden and his debate. Clearly the last four years in office of him doing a great job mean nothing, only that debate mattered. No way we can vote anymore, my fragile liberal heart couldn’t take it!
The best part of that line is that everyone left of fascism reads it as a direct threat - bow to our will or there will be blood, while the right can claim it’s just them worrying about the left turning violent.
They just want to murder their way to a just and harmonious society. How can we achieve a just and harmonious society without consequence free political violence?
The modern conservative agenda reads almost exactly like Timothy McVeigh’s manifesto for blowing up the OKC federal building. Not even joking, read it. You would think it’s a modern Republican speech.
These people want to enslave/kill everyone in the cities, all minorities, all LGBT+, and people who voted blue. They aren’t even hiding it. They want that massive transfer of wealth which is behind their agenda.
Remember, this is what all conservatives want. There are no exceptions. They all support the outright violence. It is what their party stands for.
It is a mix of “American tourists who are to stupid to consult government service pages about their destination” and “TSA is all about perceived security, but not real security”.
I too would think that, had I just woken up from a coma and not known about the four press secretaries under Trump.
Edit: oh wait, the felonious traitor had five:
The Mooch, Spicer, Sarah “FuckTheCountry” Sanders, Stephanie “Never gave one press conference” Grisham and Kayleigh “My cross necklace proves how KKKhristian I am” McEnany.
The Mooch was easily my fav press secretary from that shit show.
FYI , if you haven’t seen it yet, he’s one of the whales on “Killer Whales”, that crypto Shark Tank knock off. The show is wild, everyone talking shit about the products, but still saying they’d support it. And the prize isn’t actually any sort of money for the schemes, just a mentorship with the whales. It’s absolutely great to watch with a bag of popcorn.
It’s not even a new idea. It’s just the same weathered and worn “a minority couldn’t possibly have the proper education to do this job,” from uneducated idiots who… *checks notes… definitely don’t have the education to do the same job and spend all their time trying to reduce access to education to minorities.
It’s still the slaveowners attitude of purposefully keeping them uneducated and then judging them for their… lack of education. It’s what stupid selfish controlling people have done to others for centuries, kick them down, and then berate them for having been kicked down. They don’t like smart people who can talk back to them so they try to make sure they are the smartest person in the room by purposefully keeping everyone else dumb.
When everyone in a political party is vying to be the smartest person in the room by controlling information and making everyone else dumber, you end up with a joke shitshow like the US Republican party, which stands for nothing other than bullying and willful ignorance.
That’s what it always has meant. It threatens the heteronormative Christian patriarchal power structure to have anyone but a white man in charge of anything. And it doesn’t matter that a woman is saying it because it’s a woman who doesn’t understand that the leopards will eat her face too.
A clock shaped like a pile of rancid garbage is still right twice a day, as harsh as it is.
Karine Jean-Pierre is not a very good press secretary, And while I don’t know what the candidate pool was or what the vetting process was like, I think you’d be hard pressed to say that her being a black, LGBT, woman didn’t at all factor into her getting picked for the job. And while that’s not a bad thing, let’s not clutch our pearls and pretend calling her a DEI hire is some unhinged claim.
Ask yourself this, do DEI hires exist? Yes, they often do. Does KJP tick literally all the boxes for a DEI hire? She absolutely does.
In this context, calling her “a DEI hire” means she’s not qualified. You’re saying she’s not qualified? Hey y’know who wasn’t a very good press secretary at all? Sean Spicer. Remember when he jumped in the bushes? He wasn’t a DEI hire was he? Nooooo. White men don’t need no steenking badges.
It doesn’t mean she’s unqualified, it just means more qualified candidates may have been passed over in favor of her because she’s more diverse. And considering how bad of a job she’s doing, if you are trying to make the claim that she WASN’T a DEI hire and she was hired solely because she was the best candidate, then you are making the claim that Biden and his cabinet are so incompetent that they can’t attract anyone talented who wants to work for them.
And don’t deflect with “well the horrible people during Trump were worse!” Yea, no shit. It was the Trump presidency. That changes absolutely nothing about KJP and why she was hired.
So you don’t think DEI serves any useful purpose. That whenever you see people of color who aren’t good at their jobs they got those jobs just because they weren’t white. Or, just in this one, very-specific, very high-profile instance.
Hey, I get it. I know a lot of people who think like that. They don’t mean to be - y’know - dismissive of DEI (of course in Ye Olden Tymes it was called Affirmative Action). Well . . some of them did. Oh man, some of them really did, y’know. But they were struggling with their own things, and it was the style at the time.
It seems to me she has a well-developed resumé, she has held several key posts in Democratic campaigns before landing the Press Secretary gig. She appears to be objectively qualified for her job. Much more so than
Who owned a bunch of restaurants before running for office. Her main qualification semes to be that she talked some shit to an ex-member of the Cult of the Dead Cow. But the only vetting process she went through was an election.
I’m saying she’s not very good because of her many gaffs and avoidance of questions.
And why compare her to Boebert? Boebert is a shit stain who’s unqualified to work at a fruit stand, let alone be a congresswoman. You bring up her qualifications like you think it’s some new info.
I don’t understand how people think this type of deflection is worth anything. “You think this person is bad, well what about this other person who’s WORSE?!” Yea, that doesn’t make the first person better. This isn’t a fucking grade school popularity contest.
So you haven’t observed any of her work as White House press Secretary, and the only argument that you can make against her is to invalidate her credentials and education? But hey, if they hired a woman that means that there must have been someone more qualified that they overlooked. There’s absolutely no way or any reason a black queer woman could ever get into that position on merit /s
That being said, I’m not saying that she shouldn’t be subject to criticism, but why not compare her performance to that of previous Democrat administrations?
If this Ruling didn’t happen we NEVER would be Paying for our Accounts! That’s why we literally don’t Pay for Accounts right now (but you will be Charged if you drop below $500!)!
