I have to say I just don’t understand this one. Surely if you’re bigoted against someone with different preferences than you, you’d want to call them a psychological issue, wouldn’t you? Doesn’t this ban contradict their hatefulness?
The state wants to ban all mention of gender and sexuality in schools because they don’t think children need to learn about that (even though that’s real life). Sexual and gender issues are a necessary part of the AP psych curriculum, therefore, teachers cannot teach the complete course without facing legal ramifications. The state has failed to clarify this so nothing has been resolved.
It really is infantilizing kids of high school age to make them deliberately ignorant (and therefore reject) people who have different preferences. It’s horrific and is doomed to fail. The real world has a way of catching up.
I don’t want to say his name and give him more attention but when he got booked for a domestic with three others in their group they listed their employment as “white supremacists”.
So glad that we live in the free world, where if someone is assaulted by a hate group, the victim can use his lawyer money to ensure that the hate group is punished <3
You can get the Death Penalty for a wide variety of behaviors in the US. Playing outside, sleeping in your bed, taking a walk, having a disagreement with a neighbor, being black, going to school, shopping, attending an outdoor concert, intervening in a dispute, attempting to steer clear of a dispute, driving, etc.
The very first time I saw Brady on tv (circa 2000) I was watching whatever it was with my mom and we both presumed he was gay then and there. It was a little interesting just because there were so few evidently gay people on tv at the time in such prominent roles.

That’s what happened to the Aryan Nations. One of their workers beat the shit out of someone who then sued them into bankruptcy. The city repossessed their compound and used it for fire fighting practice. The neo Nazis did not simply up and leave there though. Many of them are still around if you scratch the surface.
Serious question, can’t the bankruptcy court force this, and all the diocese that are doing the same thing, to claw back the money they’ve sent Rome in the last 10, 20, or however many years?
No. Ignoring the religious part, which is huge, they also sent that money to an organization that isn’t in the US. A US judge cannot enforce a ruling on a non-citizen.
It’s pretty comparable to how you’re SOL if you send money to a “Nigerian Prince”.

Don’t forget the government ensuring that student loans are not able to be erased, even by bankruptcy.
This creates a guaranteed income stream for the banks, while also allowing the universities to crank up tuition costs, knowing that the bank will approve any student loan amount - knowing there will never be a default on that loan.
