Our memory is so unreliable. I have some very clear memories from my childhood that I can prove to myself couldn’t have happened the way I remember.

If I ever get in touch with my parents again I’ll tell them I’m willing to offer my eggs to a cousin or something with infertility, but my mother has to write me a letter thanking me for having the strength to not listen to her bad advice and get an IUD anyway, because it turns out I’ve had endometriosis for 15 years and the IUD is the reason it didn’t run rampant and the reason I would still have eggs to give them.
