They’re going to try to cheat and they’ve been working on that since last time to make that happen. They’re putting their side in charge of elections, redistricting, etc. While the press talks about Bobo & the clown and trump, they’re working on stuff behind the scenes.
Generally speaking, they were already in charge of elections & redistricting for a lot of states. The "Independent Legislature" thing the SCotUS kicked to the curb was their only real shot they had for outright "legally" stealing an election. Mathematically speaking, you can only gerrymander a given area so much & that hardly matters for Senate & Presidential elections.
They "caught the car" with Roe vs. Wade & don't know how the fuck to recover from that mistake.
"Wokeness" is about 3 times more popular than the GOP.
The GOP has lost 10 of their last 12 special elections, some of those in areas they were never supposed to lose.
Last time I looked, COVID was still killing 100 very likely GOP adherents every single day in the USA.

All it takes is enough people who aren't fully committed Trump voters in swing states finding it difficult to vote, or ending up not voting out of apathy. Or those states picking electors who will give the votes to Trump regardless of who wins the vote. A Trump victory can't be ruled out even with what should be several major disqualifying factors running against him. That's more an indictment of America than a credit to the strength of his candidacy, frankly.
I dunno I still see this helping Democrats in the end. R will give him the nomination with all his fans proclaiming with great sureness that a presently campaigning former president who is trying to be re-elected cannot be convicted, then BOOM he gets convicted <6 months prior to the election. Then what?
@pelespirit mentioned that there are behind-the-scenes machinations to disrupt the process, and that’s a very valid concern, but I don’t see how it could be close enough to make a difference though if Trump is convicted of any charges that have been brought.

An uptick after these changes make sense. People want to continue their comfortable routines. However now that it’s draining their wallet, they will probably be on the lookout for cheap/free alternatives.
It’s the same with increasing prices. Short term your revenue will spike, but it will bleed as you slowly lose customers because you offer less value.
But the people who were previously paying is where Netflix is playing with fire. They released the customers who were paying only because they were sharing it and didnt want to cause an inconvenience.
I think it’s a pretty big gamble by Netflix, it will take time to see how it played out.
I did that for years. Checked usage and found out the other couple people I was sharing with weren't using it anyways.

Sure they might have gained a few subscribers short term, but are they the type to just let the sub roll for a decade straight or will they just watch what they want and cancel until they can re-sub and binge again?
I wasn’t sharing my password with anyone but the complete 180 they did on their own policy to chase dollars pissed me off so I cancelled. Been a subscriber since the first year they came out. Oh well.
Gotta edge a bit closer to that trust thermocline. I feel like it’s pretty much guaranteed for at least one of the major streaming services to all but collapse in the next 5 years. There’s just too many and something will happen to push people into leaving them.

The racketeering statute in Georgia is more expansive than its federal counterpart, notably because any attempts to solicit or coerce the qualifying crimes can be included as predicate acts of racketeering activity, even when those crimes cannot be indicted separately.
The specific evidence was not clear, though the charge regarding influencing witnesses could include Trump’s conversations with Georgia’s secretary of state, Brad Raffensperger, in which he asked Raffensperger to “find” 11,780 votes, the people said – and thereby implicate Trump.
For the computer trespass charge, where prosecutors would have to show that defendants used a computer or network without authority to interfere with a program or data, that would include the breach of voting machines in Coffee county, the two people said.
The breach of voting machines involved a group of Trump operatives – paid by the then Trump lawyer Sidney Powell – accessing the voting machines at the county’s election office and copying sensitive voting system data.
The copied data from the Dominion Voting Systems machines, which are used statewide in Georgia, was then uploaded to a password-protected site from where election deniers could download the materials as part of a misguided effort to prove the 2020 election had been rigged.
Though Coffee county is outside the usual jurisdiction of the Fulton county district attorney’s office, the racketeering statute would allow prosecutors to also charge what the Trump operatives did there by showing it was all aimed towards the goal of corruptly keeping Trump in office.
A spokesperson for Willis did not respond to requests for comment.

As a Latin American, it seems to me that Christian fanaticism is so wide spread in the US it almost feels cartoonish, like the sort of general impression one gets from any cult or fundamentalist religious group. And I’m from Latin America!
It always reminds me of North Korea, or China. No matter what else you do, you must be seen to believe in the right thing or else you are some kind of evil deviant.
What the religion or belief system is actually is is about is almost irrelevant. The important thing is to believe, understanding it is entirely not required and almost frowned upon.

If the instructors were doing this, they'd need to be fired because they are not doing their job. If the students are doing this, well, you can't fire them from learning, so it needs to be handled at the source.
Would also be pretty neat if we gave the educational system perhaps a money, and the problem is probably exacerbated by all that future the students tangibly don't have. But a heavy increase in counseling won't make anyone listen. I vote for addressing both, both is good.
I also forsee a handful of court cases when parents inevitably make their kids' "non-minor" accounts because they just want to be left alone.

When they get fed up they quit, and then random unqualified people get hired to fill the needs and they end up being the ones who don’t give a shit either way and spend their day on the phones.
You won’t get good teachers if the working conditions are shit, and students these days are the main problem creating the shitty working conditions.
I’d place my bet on administrative bloat hogging too many resources. Making teachers move on to more lucrative professions because teaching isn’t worth all the headaches it entails for what they are bringing home at the end of the day.
I sure didn’t: I’d been a loyal customer since the DVD days but this was the final straw. I cancelled as soon as it was announced and will not ever be renewing. Netflix jumped the shark and is dead to me.
