And there are people that make more money in a year than you’ll make in your life, whose “job” it is to decide to raise that seam a half inch up from last year for fashion, to acolades and red carpet galas praising their unparalleled genius for doing it.
Then the ones that actually make the jeans that people actually wear make less in their lives than we make in a year.
Humans are soooo weird, cruel, and cruel in genuinely weird ways.
They didn’t “decide it”. If you get fat as many nowadays do, you’ll just spill over your jeans. The only way to avoid that is by raising them up high. This is one disingenuous picture because of that.
I’d we were suddenly as soon as we were in 2011, we would wear the clothes the way we did in 2011 .
Yeah, it’s been here a while and is already moving on to the 90’s, I’m seeing huge wide jeans out there. As a slim jeans wearer who doesn’t care much for fashion I am stocking up now because they are going to be like gold dust soon, I’m not making that mistake a second time.
High waisted jeans are some of the most hideously unflattering clothing I've ever fucking seen. It's an instant cringe whenever I see some poor soul wearing them. I get everyone wants to follow fashion, but some fashion is just straight up ugly whether it's in or out.
Ability to pull them off, so to speak, does not factor in to the expanding foam beast’s decision to wear them. I’d like to know where you live that curdled milk in a bag isn’t the majority of spandex wearers.
That tracks. I live in the south. I also seem to have offended a few ham beasts. I like a girl with some heft to 'er, but if you look like you are perpetually wearing a twin sized matress under your clothes, you need to fix some shit. Not even from an attractiveness standpoint, that shit will kill you young.
That’s almost word for word what I was thinking about low-rise jeans when they started replacing high waisted jeans. And now when high waisted jeans came back I think they look so weird.
…says an overweight man in cargo pants. You miss the teenage days when you weren’t fat and ugly, and young girls in low waist pants would give you some attention. You miss those times, don’t you.
They really went off the rails during their decline. They became a cellphone store, and not at all a good one… Their pricing on EVERYTHING was not only non-competitive, it was ludicrously expensive.
Blockbuster definitely. Then I can just rip and upload to jellyfin as many videos as I want. Plus as a kid my parents never let me get the popcorn buckets at the counter and I need to have that experience because I remember them looking so great
In what world are the libertarians winning on the MLs lol. The only reason you feel like you’re winning on us is because any time we start making a little too much sense we get defederated – wouldn’t want your users to be exposed to conflicting ideas now would you ;)
well chrome = basically chromium So basically all changes from chrome carry over to chromium - and subsequently chromium-based browsers like brave opera edge etc
It’s just art. You can’t blame me for not knowing anything about who this “A. Hitler” is supposed to be. Do I have to ask my swastika tattooed art dealer about his political views before buying from him?
Building a browser is hard, and it’s even harder when one of the maker of the most popular browser also operates several of the most popular websites. So most other browsers (Edge, Brave, Opera, and many more) are Chromium under the hood. This means that they often implement Google’s preferred web functionality as opposed to the actual standard. If Google wants some feature going into the browser, most Chromium derivatives will follow their lead. Even though Brave has rejected many of Google’s moves, I’d argue it still isn’t enough since they still give Google some control over web standards.
The Internet needs to be impartial and fair in its design, this means it shouldn’t be influenced by any one interest in particular. Google’s indirect influence over nearly the whole browser market goes against the principle of an open web. The only way to fight effectively this is to use an independent browser, like Firefox.
