My absolutely most favorite single player and gaming experiences in general are:
Outer Wilds
Tunic
Their replayability is 0 but man do these experiences stay with you. I still think about outer wilds daily and i finished it last year.
Also a word of caution:
Both these games function with knowledge-based progression, so almost everything you look up about these games can be considered a spoiler and will lessen your experience with them!
You only make this mistake once, hopefully. The first night I moved into my new place, many years ago was a bad night. My stuff didn’t show up yet. It was getting delivered in a few days. I didn’t even take a big dump. It just clogged up. I had to get an emergency plunger and since that move I make sure there is one close by during moves.
I actually think about plungers quite a bit. If I notice someone has a sink plunger instead of a toilet plunger, I immediately and forever judge the shit out of them.
Is that the case? I mean this is long before nation states or the north Atlantic slave trade or anything. I’m not romanticizing, people looted, had slaves, fought meaningless wars, but all independently of race. Besides, the first nations of turtle island are not really red.
