Hi all, I bought a gaming PC with the intention of installing Linux to play recent games. I chose AMD for the GPU because I know the drivers are more optimized on Linux....
I’d like to try the new Assassin’s Creed and Avatar, but they’re not on Steam - which is how I play almost every other game on Linux. I know I might be able to install Uplay games using Lutris, but I’m not sure if the experience is as smooth as Steam + Proton....

Well I’m hopping around… again. I thought I had a good stable setup going but then something happens upstream that goes against what I want/believe in (looking at you RedHat) and I’m back on the hunt again....
I’ve been using ChimeraOS with a cheap AMD 5700xt I purchased from Alibaba for a few months now with great success....
So…Yeah, the question in the title. Trying to play Lutris TLOU, and all the settings are maxed out just fine, except for the Textures section, that’s locked out. ANd then checking the Display settings, I can see my VRAM is at 7806MB…which is…inacurate. It should be getting the full 16GB right? What’s going on?
I was offered an Intel Arc graphics card, but I couldn’t find any information about how they work with Linux that was less than 7 months old. Any of you know how well Arc GPUs are currently working on Linux?
