Can't yet, just have to block individual communities. Kbin users can block domains, but that's not the same as blocking instances. For example, you can block imgur.com to avoid seeing posts that link to imgur.
I tried playing league of legends for the first time a few months ago. I haven’t done any gaming in easily a decade or two and figured why not.
Like many (most, all?) games are now it was so damn complicated. There’s hundreds of characters, infinite matchups, all these different potions and powerups etc. I thought I had the basics down but the other players told me very clearly how much room for improvement there is in my game. I feel like every game I’ve seen and heard of lately is like that.
Back in the day we’d get the guy from the left side of the screen to the right, and sometimes you had to jump over something to get there. Where are those games now? I’m busy and don’t have time to get a phd in your game’s lore, I just want something simple and mindless to unwind.
LoL is a esport competitive game, so it definitely breads a competitive player base. Not every game is made for every single person to enjoy. Which is fine.
Plenty of games are released daily that you could instead play that match your wants. If you give more insight outside of “just wanting an easy game”, I could sort out list of reccomdations and send them your way.
I think the last new game I played was Mario Wii in 2012. It was challenging and engaging but easy to learn with a good walkthrough easing you in with the basics.
I still play C&C Red Alert now and then. Just dusted off my joystick and installedX-Wing alliance (upgrade at least, not the OG version from 1999). That’s pretty much it. All the other games I’ve seen recently are either way too complicated (LoL) or just not engaging enough (Mario Kart for Switch for example, it’s fine for a bit with friends but I just don’t see myself playing it a lot.)
Oh, and I’ve been playing a lot of chess lately, currently rated around 1600 ELO.

I sort/separate so technical gear (hiking gear and other polyester stuff) doesn’t get washed with detergent but don’t see the need to use the more expensive stuff (non chlorine bleach) on regular clothes

You can't make a 3 sided object with 4 sides. It's no longer a triangle and is a square. It's the definitions themselves. Non-euclidian geometry would allow the angles to equal more than 180°, but not to "add a side".
Incase that is still a mystery to you, that means that the drawing is visually inconsistent with the finished part. That 180 degree ‘corner’ is effectively a straight line, if drawn to scale.

If you could bare to stretch your mind, and realize “not to scale” means “trust the numbers, not the graphic” you could in turn, realize that it is, in fact, 3 sided.
Every side of every shape is made up of infinite 180 degree angles and 2 angles that are different. Every. Single. One.
My school used to put a right angled triangle in the test and then say “not to scale” and then the angles would actually make it an isosceles or whatever. I agree with you that scale should keep proportions but yeah for some reason It’s not common knowledge.
Mathematicians dont want to to know this one strange trick, hide a secret corner of 180 degrees in any triangle to instantly make it a quadrilateral, without even changing the shape!!

I still buy lactose free milk (costs a comparative fortune) but have been toying with the idea of just cracking a lactose pill (they’re powder with gelatin capsule) and simply adding it to the milk
If a lactose pill is like 25 cents and 4L of lactose free milk is $4 more expensive, I’m thinking it’s time to run some experiments.
For me, ice cream works great with lactose pills, it’s when meals have some cheese that my coverage gets spotty, probably has to do with the ice cream being the only thing I’m eating while meals have lots of non lactose stuff that can prevent lactose pills from hitting all that dairy
Huh. Terminal curiosity, but randomly clicking through, I saw a lot of 2000’s era racist/sexist humor, mostly banning NSFW, one entirely made up of github links and anime girls, a weirdly normal Reddit clone, and… one that was suspiciously banned from the internet lol.
So, at least one person got Hansen’d. Which, I can’t imagine what they thought was gonna happen there.

Other than that and lemmynsfw, the only NSFW instances I'm aware of are pornlemmy.com and lemmyf.uk. Pornlemmy is specifically focused on vanilla. I'm not sure what exactly lemmyfuk has. It really annoys me that none of these instances show anything if you aren't logged in, not even a list of communities. Yes, I know it's a limitation of the software.
lemmynsfw.com will definitely show communities if not logged in, and you can see everything if you open one. pornlemmy.com shows everything if not logged in. Both of these are from a web browser, and in my experience if I click on a communty from my feed in either connect or liftoff. and if you hit settings and on each instance, by default they are set to filter stuff for not logged in, you can turn that off, even if you’re not logged in.
However, lemmynsfw does in fact block NSFW for people that aren't logged in. When I go there (in a web browser), the front page is full of SFW pictures of celebrities. The community list is just a bunch of celebrity-name communities, along with the occasional porn community that forgot to apply their NSFW tag. If I go to those communities though, no posts appear.
