It is quite common in my experience to use “getting a check” as a figure of speech. Similarly I’ll say “I get my check every Wednesday” but I have direct deposit. And I’m not even old lol
It’s just a high concentration of sugar dissolved in water. Not used in food really unless you need to sweeten some cold tea for some southerners, i guess. Very commonly used to make alcoholic mixed drinks though.
My speculation, but I think the down votes are because the comment had nothing to do with the post. So a way to filtering out, out of scope comments. Asking about the display name on a post about high calorie ppl setting an apartment on fire is pretty random after all 😂
