I wass lucky enough to find some morels while walking the dog today, so I made pasta with morels and wild garlic and a cocktail made with homemade elder syrup.
The dumplings didn’t turn out as pretty as I like but for a first attempt I’m very happy. They just didn’t want to release from the pan.
I was never big on photographing my food but I found this one particularly pretty. It was over a decade ago, and I don’t remember what restaurant it was. Somewhere in NYC.

This came out really tasty! After destroying the first batch I figured out it works much better if you take out the little air flow grill plate from the bottom and just cook it directly on the pan....
Kumpir is a traditional Turkish streetfood wich is based on a baked potato with cheese and toppings. In this case, the inside of the potato is mixed and mashed heavily with Gouda cheese and topped with olives, sweet corn, roasted sausage pieces, and salty pickles. Dressed with ketchup and mayo. Many different types of toppings...

On Friday we got our annual treat: half a lamb from a farm near us. We made rosemary, chilli and garlic butter, roast potatoes, cavolo nero, cauliflower and carrots with lamb chops. The chops are as fresh and tasty as can be, simply great!
Dinner after a 8.4 mile hike up a mountain. They tasted amazing, although I was starving.
