So basically I decided to move my mastodon account to Calckey. But I don’t know how to subscribe to hashtags. Is it even possible? Can somebody help please?

Sorry, I am really new to the idea of the fediverse. So, it is about standartisation for social media protocols so I can interact with users on another side that uses the same standard. Does this mean if I post something on lemmy I can find it on Mastodon, or is it only certain features? I guess I dont understand how this...
Goodreads is perhaps the best example of enshittification imo. It’s only good now as a way to track your reading lists....
i’ve been playing around with a self hosted lemmy instance for a bout a week so far and loving the whole fediverse concept so far. I’m thinking about also putting up a mastodon instance to see how the micro-blogging is. but i’ve run into some other projects that sound interesting too. so i’m looking at Friendica with the...
I think it’s the one sub that I miss that would lend itself well to having a bot repost them since you’re not supposed to contact the op anyway. I don’t know how to do bots and I think it would be an easy success if someone wants that.
Having grown up on livejournal, tumblr really was the closest in experience and culture to how it was then. reddit text posts were actually closest appearance to a livejournal post for quite a while but by the time that was added everyone were comfortable on tumblr, and following users in reddit were added even later....
On Reddit, my karma was always weighted more on the question side than on the comment side. I felt bad for not being a valuable contributor to people’s lives rather than being selfish and always asking things for myself. Lemmy has gotten rid of that point system so now I feel like I can feel free to ask as many questions as I...
Like two text fields, with the server/instance field autofilling:...
im still debating wether i start a peertube channel or not, and im no pro but we all have to start somewhere. ive aksed variouse family member si know if i should do some sort of video content creation. i was thinking gaming but there are so many genres im not sure plus i have school and im worried it might make my life more...
That’s a feature I’d love to see implemented in the future, if you could log in to any federated service with one fediverse account. I think some newcomers might have hoped for this feature when they heard that you can see content from any platform with one account....
I’ve noticed that there are a few communities that tend to dominate when viewing all. Some days it gets to where looking at all isn’t very different than just looking at [email protected] or [email protected]....
Those who blog in the fediverse, what do you use? Writefreely is a bit too minimalist for what I want to do. Is the best alternative for me to just use wordpress with the activitypub plugin?
plus duplicate comments and set up a bot that would monitor Reddit for new posts and upload it there
Hey all! As I’ve been branching off more and more into the Fediverse I’ve been looking at Masto alternatives and all of them are great. I like most quite a bit more than Mastodon for the UI and featureset. I want to selfhost one, and Akkoma’s lightweight nature and rich features attracted me....
I’ve been a fan of Memmy for the most part, but post Apollo i’ve still been out of sorts with any platform. I really miss marking-read once you scroll past posts on my phone....
Is there a community for peertube similar to !mastodon? I feel like peertube could really use some sort of lemmy driven community engagement. Particularly because it integrates so well into lemmy. It reminds me of an old extension that would replace youtube comments with reddit discussions when available.
I’d like to self-host Lemmy or kbin and mastodon. I know I could use different subdomain for each, but I’d much rather keep it short. Something tells me, however, that other instances might not be happy about it....
Would be cool if we can upload short videos to a peertube instance and embed them into posts rather than relying on reddit, YT, or Vimeo....
Felt this belonged here.
