The 10 millon_th post to be registered at Lemme.world any minutes now ! Way to go Fediverse 🥳 !
The instance has been down several times over the past few days?...
Title says it. Apparently lemmy devs are not concerned with such worldly matters as privacy, or respecting international privacy laws.
i tried to look up how to create a community online but can’t find anything, do you need permission from the instance admin
Is there any mastodon alternative AP microblogging platform with support of RSS feed of my account like lemmy and peertube have such options
***Please DM me if you are interested ***...
Opinions on which microblogging federated platform is currently the most stable yet developed one ? I am currently hosting a gotosocial one, but the federation is sometimes a little iffy, so i am in need of some help on deciding what would be the best one to host while being compatible with most of the fediverse.
I’m trying to post some stuff over at literature.cafe, but it seems it isn’t federating. I checked the modlog to see if I was banned, but nothing came up. When I attempt to press over to read some stuff in the meta community, it bounces me elsewhere. Does anyone know what the issue might be?
((I’m not an expert, I’ve been reading up on things as much as I can. If there’s an error, I’ll happily correct it!))...
This post at the top of the community homepage explains and answers all of my issues....
I used to think that there would be 1, main ‘Fediverse’ with all of the ‘big instances’ connected to each other. The recent Threads debacle has shown me otherwise....
Hello everyone...
Hey everyone,...
Disclaimer...
I think it’s pretty safe to say that the majority of us are here to avoid another corporate takeover of our preferred platforms. It would seem to me to be a tad irresponsible to allow Facebook into our space with open arms, allowing them to hoover up our data. I would love to keep using Lemmy.world, but will happily change...
is it lemmy and kbin or something else
This is a quick follow-up to my previous post about whether or not we own our posts. Any thoughts?
Please, before posting, we’ve seen a lot of these post saying X instance is down right now, or “is X instance down?”. The answer is probably, but it’s probably because Lemmy v0.19 dropped and it includes some downtime, upwards of an hour for all the migrations to finish....
Is there a way to set it up so [email protected] can be a lemmy account and also a mastadon account? I seen people using subdomains like [email protected] and [email protected] is this nessasary? Could u also set up a matrix account with the same [email protected]? If not what woukd be requured to change to make this...
Can’t access account. Website lemm.ee shows 503 error. Hopefully everything is fine and devs get it back up and running.

Who owns what we post?
im very worried about this!!! i read news about meta with the fediverse and people say meta will destroy and make the fediverse stop existing and force everyone to go to facebook?? is this true?? they will embrace extend and extinguish?? and kill the fediverse??? but this is my only social media!! im not against meta but i dont...
I have seen many people here post about “embrace, extend, extinguish” and that is indeed a good piece of analysis, but one thing I don’t see people talking about is how Meta promotes content in their feeds....
