I just recently set up unilem.org aimed at federating with everyone. Yes this will include meta. Some will like it and others will not but thats the beauty of the fediverse. You can choose your home or even make your own....
In the months since I deleted my Reddit accounts and joined Lemmy, the lack of user base growth has made it clear that we need some users to stay on Reddit as a means of shepherding more users over on an ongoing basis. Otherwise, Reddit simply got what it wanted: less users who make a fuss about how it manages its platform...
I’m currently using Memmy for Lemmy, Mammoth and Ice Cubes for Mastodon, and the official Pixelfed beta....
I often browse /all, come across a post that looks interesting but I have no clue what’s it about, so I check the sidebar - and all I find is “An unofficial Lemmy community for X”, " A place to discuss everything about X", or the best kind, “A continuation of r/X from Reddit”....
The Fediverse as it stands now is super ambitious, prospering, and honestly really exciting to see and be a part of....

I’ve been on Lemmy for some time now and it’s time for me to finally understand how Federation works. I have general idea and I have accounts on three federated instances, but I need some details....
In short i just jumped into the whole Mastodon blocking drama and am somewhat disappointed to see it as childish as reddit’s power mod drama. Accelerated by the fact that a Limit/Mute option exist just fine, i wonder why Block/Defederation is an option at all. It only moves power from the user to admins without anything in...
I don’t fully understand how lemmy works completely yet. But for example I made an account at Division by zero and subscribe here to post. Is it not just a more inconvenient version of making a reddit account and being able to post practically anywhere?...

I've spent more than 7 years in Mastodon, and in my experience, new users always come in with a Twitter mindset, then getting a cultural shock because they come to Mastodon expecting a Twitter experience and end up finding something strange and bizarre....

With several Lemmy instances using the .ml TLD I’ve seen people mention others being risky as well. Which should be avoided?
Sorry if this seems like a silly question but I have noticed over the last few months my feed(?) has started to act odd....
And that they will federate with them ? (Can’t seem to find it anymore at least)...
The instance has been down several times over the past few days?...
