By this I sort of mean like, in the case of Lemmy for example, something like a built-in Lemmyverse of sorts....
In response to Bray’s toot, Evan Prodromou — one of the creators of ActivityPub, who is currently writing an O’Reilly book about the protocol — noted that this “is also the argument for using the ActivityPub API.” He described the API as “an open, extensible API that can handle any kind of activity type — not...
F.Y.I: This is a thought experiment, Not a prediction, that I am trying out and I would like feedback. I got the idea from a forecasting book where you choose something true today and flip it so it isn’t true 10 years from now plus giving the reason why (the book’s name was imaginable). I am trying to do that and include a...
We sat down with Matthias Pfefferle to talk about his journey in developing an ActivityPub integration for WordPress, along with the challenges of implementing a protocol for a platform that everybody customizes in a wide variety of ways....

Personally subscribed to 126, and it’s steadily growing by 2-4 each week. But curious to how many you are subscribed to too. Feel free to share your favorite community too!...
What’s going on with the server? My alt account lives there and he could use a welfare visit. It’s been offline for at least three days....
!hackernews used to be a feed posting things from the orange site. It stopped 3 months ago. Does anyone know how to get it back in action, or is there another somewhere else I can subscribe to?
tl;dr I propose a Fedi Union consisting of the developers of Phanpy, Pixelfed, Peertube, Lemmy, and PieFed. That will work as a way to fund all of the services collectively (with the option to still go to their individual patreons and fund them seperately) and as a way for them to communicate to help all the services be more...
Ghost is a huge publishing platform, and a sizeable rival to Substack. By adopting ActivityPub, they are opening up to an entirely new audience, and harnessing the power of the Fediverse.
I keep getting banned without reason
ActivityPods is a wild project that’s bringing the architecture and data capabilities of Tim Berners-Lee’s Solid Protocol to the Fediverse. We dig in to what it is, how it works, and what’s currently possible with the framework.
I dunno how many here have given it a try yet, or simply don’t ever intend to but are nevertheless a little curious, so I’m putting down some notes here....

At this year's FediForum one of the breakout sessions centred around the Theadiverse, the subset of ActivityPub-enabled applications built around a group-centric model of content representation....
This weeks news:...
If you’re a developer working on a fediverse app or service and want to get it right – or just don’t want to be the center of the next firestorm – here are a few suggestions.
Emissary is a revolutionary next-gen Web platform that lets you tinker with every little bit of it. It works with the Fediverse, is built on IndieWeb principles, and looks incredible.
PubKit is a spinoff project from Pixelfed, and is used by the project’s lead developer to actually develop Pixelfed. It has some pretty great ideas about mocking up entities and data, testing data streams, and working with different server implementations to see where pieces might differ.
