It seems to me that over the last two weeks, the Lemmy experience has been worsening. My front page and communities are filled with Reddit re-posting bots....

When I joined the fediverse I thought I’d have an easier time moving between lemmy platforms. So far I have to create a new username/password on each instance and subscribe to all the things I want to on that new account. I kinda wish I can carry my lemmy user to other platforms more easily....

I've been using Opera for a few years now and I've been enjoying its features, UI and everything. However, I (surprisingly to me) haven't noticed many people mentioning it. Also, when I was on Reddit and mentioned that I use it I got downvoted which left me somewhat confused haha....

Sometimes it can be hard to tell if we’re chatting with a bot or a real person online, especially as more and more companies turn to this seemingly cheap way of providing customer support. What are some strategies to expose AI?

I occasionally come across content in my feed that I think would be of interest to one of the small communities that I participate in. Think photo or article, not something personal. most people i know use google by searching whatever question they have and including the word “reddit” at the end to find reddit threads since it currently has the most useful information....
