Whew, 2023 ain’t even close to done yet.
I have a book that I want to download from vitalsource. I hate the website and limiting the downloads to 2 pages is terrible. Is there a way to download the file?
The other community (!piracy) is mostly the old Reddit one. It’s more active than this one.
I’m pretty new to the fediverse, and I find the idea amazing. But one thing concerns me though. How will server owners be able to afford to run servers with massive amounts of data coming through them? Theoretically speaking, if a Reddit migration were to happen how would server upkeep costs look like?
My company is just starting to utilize O365 email encryption for sensitive information, which I know a lot of people are already using....

This game is amazing and stunningly beautiful even on older hardware. It runs surprisingly well on my older gaming laptop. The game really encourages me to try different things too. I’ll be playing this for a while still, much to do....
I read somewhere in here that other fediverse apps like Ice Cubes should be able to access Lemmy.World content to give one an experience similar to the Reddit app. I have Ice Cubes already for viewing mastodon posts and it works ok....
As a noob this is likely me, but I tried to start a community on another server and I can’t see the post (my other account used to make said community) made and set as english. Unless it’s just me being a noob, that can’t be good. A cursory look seems to confirm that I can’t see anything aside from “Undetermined”.
Hey Lemmy! I have a rather unusual request that requires your creative thinking. I’m embarking on a 3-day pooping marathon (don’t ask why), and I need food suggestions that will maximize my bathroom visits. Feel free to get wild with your ideas! Bonus points if the food also makes me sweat. Let’s make this a memorable...
