Yeah. We know.

Laconic , to news in Heads of 3 top US colleges refuse to say calling for genocide of Jews is harassment

Zionists call anything short of unconditional support for Israel and it’s far right government an anti-semetic call for genocide of Jews. It’s propaganda.

reverendsteveii , to world in Surveillance footage shows Hamas bringing hostages into Shifa Hospital on Oct. 7

the hostages were in the hospital that got bombed?

I hope they’re okay…

Flyswat ,

Yes, they were trying to free them, obviously.

Chickenstalker , to world in Surveillance footage shows Hamas bringing hostages into Shifa Hospital on Oct. 7

It’s futile, Israel. You lost the PR war. The younger gens hate you now. As more Boomers die off, your political and financial base in the West will erode, leaving you open to the wolves. If I am a young Israeli, I would look for a country to emigrate to. The next 25 years will be brutal for you.

The way folks blindly believe the terribly done, outright amateur garbage Israeli propaganda on this instance has begun to stress me out so bad that my face hurts. I spend the majority of my time on hexbear now, they make more sense than 70% of the takes on here about Israel-Palestine.

btaf45 , to world in IDF says it will help evacuate babies from Shifa Hospital tomorrow, Hamas losing control of north Gaza

Instead of telling Gazans to all go south, why don’t they set up some safe zones in Northern areas controlled by the IDF? They could bring in full supplies of everything, let people leave Gaza, and/or allow them to go to the west bank if they choose.

goat ,

It’s a pretty good idea. But they’re probably worried about terrorists squeezing through. Egypt’s already had to halt some of the refugee routes because they caught a few terrorists sneaking through.

zerfuffle , to worldnews in Hamas official says North Korea is ally. Insinuates it could one day target the US

YoBuckStopsHere , to news in Far-right minister: Nuking Gaza is an option, population should ‘go to Ireland or deserts’

The United States has a base near Gaza, this would be the dumbest thing ever if it occurred. Israel would have the entire planet turn on it and this would lose all rights to a nation forever.

FlyingSquid ,
@FlyingSquid@lemmy.world avatar

You know what is also right near Gaza? Israel. You know what doesn’t care about borders? Radiation.

This guy is a fucking moron even disregarding the genocidal nature of the comment.

maynarkh , to world in Hamas tried to send fighters to Egypt in ambulances for wounded Gazans — US official

Neither official provided a photo of the oxygen concentrators in question and they did not disclose which organization was responsible for sending the truck.

In the age of camera phones, this would be so easy. Wonder why it didn’t happen.

On the other hand, I can totally believe Hamas intentionally fucking up civilian evacuation routes. Awful people all around.

livus ,
@livus@kbin.social avatar

@maynarkh I'm willing to believe Hamas does stuff but I do not understand how an oxygen concentrator would even be used in a tunnel. It's standard medical equipment.

In fact, when I searched it to learn more the first thing I found was an article about how Israel donated oxygen concentrators to India as part of humanitarian aid.

No one uses them for ventilation in tunnels, mines, etc!

As for why they were being smuggled, if Israel is blocking them because it thinks they are for tunnels, then no one in Gaza has them, they need them, and can't get them. Smuggling for humanitarian reasons would make sense.

LaLiLuLuCo ,

re: smuggling siege equipment (oxygen concentrators should be amongst the medical aid) amongst humanitarian aid food.

youtu.be/W4gDfSNMRx4?si=3NhT_Xt2Dxxkp3A- at around 6 minutes you can see Hamas using concentrated oxygen in the tunnels to refresh themselves. Lot of morons with “underground mine experience” who also don’t know its a standard practice outside of Gaza. www.amsj.com.au/dont-hold-breath/

Cutting all economic and diplomatic ties, putting sanctions and blocking ships headed to or from there passing through the red sea would indicate he means it.

Tryptaminev ,

en.wikipedia.org/…/Israel–Saudi_Arabia_relations

Reports in Arabic-language media suggest that there have been several meetings between Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Israeli officials over the last two years, with at least one of them taking place in Eilat in 2015 and another on the sidelines of the Arab summit in Jordan in March 2017. It has also been reported that Saudi and Israeli officers have been regularly meeting in a joint war room serving as a coordination center for Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and the United States.

After the Arab Spring, Israel views the Saudi government as “guarantor of stability”, according to the New York Times. In 2011, Israel approved a German sale of 200 Leopard tanks to Saudi Arabia.[12] The approval came from Uzi Arad, the national security advisor to Benjamin Netanyahu.

The Times has reported that Saudi Arabia has tested the ability to stand down their air defenses to allow an Israeli strike on Iran to pass through their airspace.[22] Both nations have denied this.[23][24]

In November 2018, Netanyahu publicly defended Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman in the wake of the killing of Jamal Khashoggi, stating “it is very important for the stability of the region and the world that Saudi Arabia remain stable”, and privately urged the U.S. administration to maintain its strong security relationship with Saudi Arabia.[31]

They egg around but work together closely militarily and in intelligence. And Saudia Arabia could exert control over the Red Sea. Finally Saudi Arabia actively supports Israel militarily, like by shooting down missiles heading to Israel from Yemen.

What a moral quandry. Our leaders are making the toughest of decisions.
