I always thought it rewarded skill better. Instead of blue shells, karts were faster the farther back they fell in rankings, the lack of randomized items encouraged strategy, and if you didn’t touch the steering, accelerator or brakes, the boosts would last longer. Plus the music was dope.
For some reason I was just thinking about DKR yesterday. I would love another one! I had way more fun with it than MK due to the story mode and open world.
When I was a child I thought the RC-XD was the most ridiculous contraption I had ever heard of. Tons of shit turned out to become real I thought was stupid
Here’s the kicker: A ton of things that are actually are stupid do actually turn into stupid products. “As Seen on TV” being the primary source of those things…
Innovation is probably one of the best, and worst, features of war. Simple concepts that do not have any other place in society could save, or cost, thousands of lives. It’s weird.

I found it on !memes and cross-posted it to !noncredibledefense. Maybe you don’t see that it was crossposted because your instance isn’t federated with lemmy.ml or something?
Edit: there’s somebody else who didn’t see the crosspost who’s on lemmy.world, so scratch that theory.
