Based on screenshots and the publisher, it is safe to say that they are using the Stellaris engine for this. Which does not really have traditional turns. Think RTS with lots of pauzing. The engine is also capable of exploding planets already.
I once saw the Shrek book in a bookstore and paged through it. I often see that movies that are based on books have little to do with the original story, but Shrek absolutely took the crown. But where this usually is a turn to the worse, with Shrek this was exactly the other way.
I deleted my Discord account 2 days ago, and I’m very happy with that choice. Conversations / Any XMPP client is significantly better than Discord in terms of direct messaging and small groups for friends. Some of my friends haven’t switched to Conversations yet, but at that point it is their choice to not speak with me outside of work.
I was going to say that the discs at least have a full game on them already, but can you even play that retail version without being forced through all the updates?
I’m crying I loved this game so much, even enough to pilfer through the convoluted mess it is to join a private server lobby to continue playing. Ahh I’m so excited!
Gigantic looks something like Smite? Is that what I am getting here? I was hoping for an Overwatch / Team Fortress clone (unironically). I really need some more competition for this type of game.
If not for Planescape being on there I would have assumed they meant only more recent games. No Jade Empire. No KOTOR. Not even Neverwinter Nights or Fallout 1 & 2 or Icewind Dale. Let alone all the classic SSI Goldbox games or even Bard’s Tale (the original from the 80’s not that shit on Xbox).
Weird amount of nothing in this article. People from tangential teams focused on publishing other companies games have been laid off? There’s nothing to infer about Wayfinder or Warframe from that. The only real inference we can make is DE is more concerned with their internal games than publishing the games of others.
its not even that surprising, most of what DE did publicly was give a shout about the game a couple times and that’s it. im sure they did more “normal” publisher stuff but theyve never really been intertwined in the game’s development so i can see some sense in this happening since the game has finally launched
