Many years ago working for a monitoring software company someone had found a bug in the uptime monitoring rules where they reset after a year.
It was patched and I upgraded one client and their whole Solaris plant immediately went red and alerted. They told me to double it to two years and some stuff was still alerting.
They just said they’d try to get around to rebooting it, but it was all stable.
Everywhere else I’ve worked enforces regular reboots.
When i was a kid, I use to love ANSi Art and always wanted to do it. I would download ‘thedraw’ and attempt to create art like my favorite Ansi groups… i sucked at it, but I always admired it… that image on the right reminds me of some of the artwork that people would create.
That’s what I thought. Maybe due to voltage spike in the house. But it is definitely strange. Never seen something like this since I started studying/working with electronics for the past 8 years.
I remember the mounting tension when Rupa said she wanted to go on the Monorail one more time, but Lata said she wanted time to look around the gift shop properly.
One of my dogs lets me boop him, but he doesn’t react when I do, which is disappointing. He also won’t kick his leg when I scratch his belly, but constantly wants me to scratch his belly. I feel I need some reciprocity.
They may be gross, but so is having rotten corpses sitting in the open. By getting rid of those corpses they are doing us a solid, so turkey vultures are cool in my book. The only animal that’s profoundly not cool is mosquitos, they’re a worthless species.
I was gripping about this last night. Actors practically whispering. Had to move to headphones. Many times i wonder why the industry can’t seem to properly mic the scene or pick a decent cohesive/compatible decimal range.
