My understanding is it gets the counts of dislikes from participating content creatos (the dislike count is still there, it’s just hidden except to the video authors) and for non-participating creators it uses data from the users with the extension. I think it applies some smart logic to predict the dislikes based on user feedback in that case, which may not be 100% accurate, but is likely at least somewhat close.
Thank you for this, I was able to watch YouTube videos just fine with ublock enabled, but I didn’t really know about the YouTube shorts blocker addon. YouTube shorts are just annoying to look at.
I use Firefox as my everyday browser and a Chromium browser for all my Google services.
Those of you that are using YouTube with Firefox, are you concerned about tracking while you’re signed into your Google account? Do you notice a decrease in performance while using YouTube on Firefox?
I absolutely notice youtube is worse in Firefox, presumably because of uBlock because I didn’t have any of these installed (except enhancer) before I saw this post. It’s particularly bad on mobile. BUT I think it’s still worth it overall top have a better experience.
I mean, if gold is massively devalued. Don’t think it’d ever be worth less than leaves, but given its actual useful properties (as opposed to its arbitrary use as a currency) gold’s value should be a lot lower than it is.
Upon seeing the image, I immediately thought “what’s the fresh water / sewage / garbage situation there like?” I would doubt there’s any electricity at all outside of portable batteries or gennies.
It's in the middle of the 2nd largest freshwater lake in the world, I assume they dump everything in the lake and get their water from the lake and can only hope they do those two things on opposite sides of the island
I’ve been there a couple of times! My uncle used to be a buyer for a fish factory supplying Nile Perch. The reason it is so densely populated is because the lake around there used to be loaded with fish, being far from the mainland, most people fish for weeks based off the island and then sell to the buyers and head off to the mainland for r&r until the next tour.
