Any platform(s).
Got the idea of posting this when I watched this YouTube video that talks about reasons men love playing as girls....
How much do you pay? How fast are your your real world speeds? Where are you located?
Assume that the future can change based on your actions, so any historical information that you bring along with you from the intervening 25 years may quickly drift out of the new realities history....
Parent, student, or staff, what's the dumbest damn regulation you've personally come across at an educational institution?
Mine is the computer. I continue to be amazed at what we can do with them.
Let me preface by saying, I would love to hear counter points and am fully open to the fact that I could be wrong and totally out of touch. I just want to have some dialogue around something that’s been bothering me in the fediverse....
It’s one thing to have differing views, but I’ve seen enough attempted reddit migrations to be relieved that the popular communities in the fediverse so far haven’t been about crazy racist stuff or other extreme right bullshit....
This is not an attempt to convert Lemmy users, nor is it a slight on Lemmy. I'm sure there are plenty of reasons why Lemmy works better for some, and I love the fact that we not only have multiple choices, but multiple choices that allow us to interact with each other regardless! It's amazing. Lemmy is great, no shade....
In the past week and a half, I've noticed Reddit behaviors starting to try and poison all of the places that people are taking refuge in to get away from the toxicity, myself included. Think about things from the point of view of someone who has never used Reddit or the fediverse, but you've heard about them both from recent news articles and want to see what they are about....

Normally the system updates would be quick and fast, but with the proprietary drivers of Nvidia involved, it gets quiet slow process. And I am not even talking about any other problem I encounter, just about the...
Right now it seems like its "A.I.". Still big now are the wars in the Middle East and Ukraine. Recently we had COVID 19....
What happens next?
Self defense? Only on the battlefield? Only to achieve a ‘noble’ end?
I'd probably have to go with Audiobookshelf and Kavita. Behind those would be Invidous and Immich.
Big or small, cheap or expensive....
Google is not helpful.
Most are probably too young to remember but nanotechnology was supposed to be the most super amazing thing ever.
What are your ideas, that if you could implement would likely stop our species from warring so much?...
in summer 2023, when I moved here from reddit, the lemmy instance beehaw.org was extremely divisive. they wanted to create a website according to certain rules rather than a free for all. some people were saying it would be the end of the threadiverse before it even began....
