Now that everyone hates Red Hat, what's a good alternative to RHCSA/RHCE?
“Good” as in something that looks just as good as an RH cert on my CV. I was considering LFCS, but I haven’t come across any job listings mention LFCS (at least, not where I live).
Could somebody explain whats with the facebook stuff?
Im out of the loop on the meta wanting to do something related to the fediverse. could somebody get me up to date / explain it to me?
FPS titles with great environmental world-building? e.g. Alien: Isolation, Metro, DOOM '16, even Portal 2 counts -- games that feel like real, lived-in places and not just a series of arenas.
For example, I didn’t fall in love with Titanfall 2’s environmental art design—it felt a bit generic to me, like it was meant to be the backdrop for a shooter, as opposed to the Sevastopol in A:I or the station in SOMA that felt like existing locations....

Google should go bankrupt
I’ve been so upset with google for a long time. It might be seamless if you don’t live in china or whatever, but for me it’s been pain for years. A few years ago they stopped accepting my credit card. this year they stopped accepting my gf’s card (she’s chinese). I tried to verify my identity with passport images and...

If we have such a high field of vision, why can't we focus on everything within the vision simultaneously?
Why is it that I am not able to read a book without moving my eyes if the entirety of the page is within my field of view? Why do I have to center my eyes on an object to observe it fully? And why is it that I am still able to view changes in surroundings in the edges of my field of vision despite there being supposedly no way...

Some more spitballing from a noob here, but I wonder if much thought has been given to account portability between Lemmy instances, or even Fediverse apps in general....
People who have discovered their dream job through a video game, which was it?

Actual Hidden Gems on Steam

I aim to mostly avoid that. While you may see a few familiar games here, everything in the list below has under 1500 reviews on Steam...

Is there a limit on the amount of posts I can save?
On Reddit, there is a limit of 1,000 posts that can be saved and viewed. After exceeding 1,000, the oldest saved posts will no longer be visible and make place for the new saved posts.
Lemmy is part of the same Fediverse as Mastodon, right? So how do I interact with Mastodon instances from Lemmy?
How do I manage my inbox?
