I’m on Manjaro Linux with Gnome. When I attach a USB HDD to my laptop, it mounts as /run/media/username/uuid. But for some reason, it is mounted as root and not with the owner set to the currently logged in user. For that reason, I can’t create new directory’s on this HDD, after I attached this to the laptop....

I am currently using EndeavourOS for my laptop. Is there a backup solution that is easy to use, and can be run from the EndeavourOS install media without internet? Hosting of supporting facilities for mines in Texas, USA

So I have a few 5TB external drives with all my media. I mainly just hook them up to my xbox and use kodi to play the files locally. I should probably be investing into a NAS or some sort of JBOD, but that’s a whole other issue....
