I’m running stock Linux Mint and when I try to set 16:9 aspect ratio on my 32:9 monitor it stretches the resolution on whole monitor. On Windows it works by putting the screen in the middle of the monitor. I was wondering if something like that is possible on Mint.
So I have Debrid + Stremio and Torrentino; I’m wondering how unchained will help me. Does it add links or do I have to manually add links to my library.
I’m gonna build my first ever server with a old laptop I have. Bought a 240gb ssd to install in it and plan to use manjaro to do it. Hello fellow selfhosters! I reformatted my USB hard drive from exFAT to XFS because I needed a filesystem that could handle hardlinks. I remounted the hard drive and now jellyfin webUI has a severe stuttering problem on some videos, all of them are MKV but it may be a coincidence. On android (using exoplayer) the same files...
I’m pretty open to all varieties as long as the narrators voice isn’t terrible.
last year when I went back to Arch from Manjaro, I made a critical error. I’m not sure if I was just tired when partitioning things off or what. but I made my root only 20GB instead of the 50 that I had intended. I know in a lot use cases that’ll be fine, but in mine, not so much. with steam compat taking up 1-2gb and...
Just based on how often I notice someone mispronounce a word without realizing it (or have done so myself and realized it later). Statistically I’m probably still doing it with some word.

Edit with solution: I’m dumb. Just use the default quickemu settings and only change "-device virtio-gpu-gl " to "-device virtio-gpu " and "-display sdl,gl=on " to "-display sdl,gl=off ". Although qemu will have a lot of overhead at boot, the CPU usage when on the desktop should not eat your linux host’s entire core. I also...
Which indies did you discover and would love more people to know about? I’ll start: The Pale Beyond. Not sure if it’s a hidden gem tbh, but it’s such a good story rich game. I laughed, I cried and felt the characters struggles. If you like story rich games/ choices matter, check it out.
I’m looking for recommendations for WWII single player fps games for the pc. In particular, I’m looking for older games from the 90s to early 2000s. I always hear how the market used to be over saturated with these games, but after playing through the early Call of Duties and Medals of Honor, I don’t know of any games that...
I currently have two computers, one that has a big zfs raidz pool that I currently back everything up to. Right now, on my local computer I use rsnapshot to do snapshot backups via rsync to the remote zfs pool. I know I’m wasting a ton of space because I have snapshotting in the rsync backup, and then the zfs pool is...
I’m looking to get back into console gaming. PlayStation has been around for most of my life and I always played on that console. I am conflicted if I should wait for the PS5 PRO or just go get the PS5 now because what would be the net benefit of waiting versus getting a console now. What do you all think about this conundrum?...
