I’ve seen the app Apollo as the center of the reddit protest (it was mentioned and cited more than any other app in relevant posts). I’ve also seen many Lemmy clients in development taking inspiration from it....
I haven't seen this app suggested, so I'm sharing it in case anyone likes it....
I downloaded the first 8 through a torrent, but I think there are 12-13 copies. This isn’t mushoku tensei, so both annas archive and zlib have failed me. I would apreciate if people here could provide more niche websites to search.
The only reason why we all used third party apps for Reddit, is because their app and website is abhorrent trash. It’s great to have a choice, but Lemmy’s website is smooth to use. I know it’s mind blowing not to use a app for everything in 2023 but Lemmy just works.
Another week, another recommendations thread....
Few days old, but I thought the Married with Children fountain looked good
I would like to find a list of lemmy communities to find similar to the ones i left behind on reddit...
This is a story from my dad....
I just bought a new Roku. The MAX app won't let me sign in without a 10 character password. My account is old enough to be before this was a requirement. I can sign into their website with my 8 character password just fine....
I enjoy making and sharing things, like websites, music, art, whatever. Is there a good lemmy community for this? It can be media-specific or not, but I’ve browsed all communities for a while and nothing has popped up at me.
just sayin🤷🏽♂️ got any other ideas?
Sorry if someone has already asked this. This is my first post on Lemmy. I mean, I guess you could ask the same question about Reddit but I’m pretty sure it’s supposed to be Read-It. But what does Lemmy mean? Is it a cute word for a small lemon?
The summer sale is well underway–what have you gotten that you’re most excited about?...
Thought of this in the shower this morning, if anyone has an answer I'd be very interested!
I was told that I should post this here....
Facebook used to be such an awesome platform. At least until all the ads and boomers....
Everyone here is talking about how to get the latest and best stuff, but no one is talking about how they actually manage it 😜...

Part of the latest migration wave. Something I realized when looking for communities on google is that “lemmy community” is super clumsy.
Reddit had famous stories. What are the Lemmy stories everyone should know?
