Hello, I’m an advanced private tracker user and datahoarder, I’m looking for a snahp invite for years. I know that snahp removed invites (using donations) recently, is it true?...
This might be just EU thing, but is there an effective way to deal with endless “accept/reject cookies” dialogues?...
With the increase popularity of the linux desktop and the steamdeck, will new viruses and malwares be developed for linux systems? should we better use an antivirus?
So I’ve been using Linux for about a year and a half, have been using Window managers since a few wweks in, have been using Wayland for the last 3 months or so, and have been using Hyprland for about a month. I love it and I want to stick with it in the long term, but I need a distro that supports it....
I am already fairly comfortable using docker and its tool set. Is the tide shifting towards Podman? Should I start learning how to use Podman? Thanks in advance.
I had The Division 2 running well under Lutris with Proton 8.8 (downloaded from GloriousEggRoll). Put in many hours with this configuration and it was rock solid. Just to be clear, this is the non-Steam version of The Division 2 bought directly from Ubisoft....
Update: The guide on github has been updated and has addopted a different method. Notably, it: A) still accomplishing my goal of avoiding running the process inside as root. B) uses the linuxserver.io image rather than the syncthing/syncthing one (my method does not allow for the linuxserver.io image to run), the linuxserver one...
Looking for some new ways to use my phone beyond reading and comsuming media....
I’ll be scrolling through lemmy world and occasionally I’ll see comments where a word in them has been replaced with removed. Usually from context it’s early a swear word, normal stuff not slurs....
Hello, all! Several days ago, one of you fine Lemmings posted a link to the new solo-oriented edition of Star Trek: Adventures. As one does, I immediately bought it and read the entire 300-some-odd pages. Lol. If anyone else was considering doing so, or is even remotely curious about it, here are my first impressions and a...
Hey Folks, since some days I’ve been migrating my “gaming rig” from Win 10 to Ubuntu. By now everything works like a charm and thanks to Proton I’m even able to play basically all the games I played on Windows now on Ubuntu as well - awesome!...
I woke up this morning feeling some weird pain in my fingers, I thought ugh, just one of these days isn’t it. Then as I scrolled through lemmy, I accidentally bumped my phone against the area where my finger was hurting, and felt a sharp pain. Then I looked. THERE WAS A FUCKING PIECE OF HAIR INSIDE MY SKIN!!! Fucking triggered...
I’m running internet to an out building 550’ from the main house. I’m going to trench an run conduit with pull strings and fiber. Do I just get regular multi it mode with sfp+ connectors on either end? Will my normal 10g switches be fine? Anything else I need to think about?
Can someone give me a hint on where to find a cracked version of bitwig studio for arch? I’ve been looking for a while and I could only find a .deb, I tried some method to install .deb on arch but im not yet an expert and I couldn’t get it to work, thanks in advance
downvoting everything i disagree with seems excessive and unhealthy, considering i can just ignore and move on. Beehaw doesn’t have downvotes at all, reasoning that you can ignore it and move on or report it, and it seems to work fine for them. i do think downvotes have a use though, i’m just not sure what it is. what do you...
Hey ! I'm searching for download music though torrent. The best will be .flac .ogg files :D Ty for your help

i’ve created my own wifi router & firewall using pci passthrough for the network card to a kvm/libvirt/qemu virtual machine running pfsense hosted on an ubuntu server and it works well enough; but the pci id changes roughly every other reboot....
I cant be the only person who wants all of my terminal applications to use same color scheme. It frustrates me that almost all terminal apps seem to set their colors with no respect to the 16 I chose for my terminal palette. I understand that more than 16 colors are sometimes useful, but additional colors could easily be...
I recently migrated my instance to another host which I freaked up and spent 6 hours fixing. I want to know if federation is working properly.
I’d like to self-host my own Lemmy instance. My environment is comprised of a Fedora VM on a separate VLAN running in Proxmox. That VM runs docker, and exposes all my services to Cloudflare using a treafik reverse proxy....
Please do not say, scrcpy. I will cry. Scrcpy doesn’t work for everyone and if it works now, something updates in my phone and the app stops working. Scrcpy got like 1000 issues. I spend hours figuring out the issue and still doesn’t work. Tested with all the available options i.e. resolutions, renderer and encoder. They...
