I just found out that sometime in the last month or so while doing regular updates Wine got bumped to 8.12… (likely from 8.0) and my games have gone haywire: Neverwinter Nights and Diablo2 would kind of start but then halt. Switching to desktop and back unblocks games for the next few seconds and then things repeat....

I have a self-hosted matrix-synapse server up and running on a Debian linux server, but before I open it up I want to at least get a captcha service in place to reduce spamming. The only module I’ve seen to handle this function appears to require setting up a Google recaptcha though, however I would prefer to keep all of this...

So this post is to explain how to stream from XDCC directly, no VPN or torrenting required. Downloading is also an option since this uses xdccJS. This method works on Android, Linux, and MacOS. It will probably work on Windows idk haven’t tried it. For extra help running commands refer to xdccJS --help....
