Brave seems to work for me. Firefox i used years ago but alas adverts annoyed me.

Firefox because nothing has blocked ads as well as Ublock Origin has. DNS is for other apps but for browser Firefox has been king.

You say recently but it’s always kind of been a pejorative. It’s softened in the last few decades but it was always an insult.

Firefox because of the addons, also because it syncs (weirdly, but still) with Firefox on my pc

If it’s you’re first install go with gnome since it’s intentionally simplified.

You WILL get lost in all of the customization options that are available in KDE and most xwindows environments if you have no experience w anything besides Windows or Mac

Inui ,

All I do in KDE is set it to Breeze Dark, set my taskbar to dock + autohide, and change media keybinds. There’s tons of options but you don’t really have to touch any of them. Default is fine.

eldavi ,

if that were all they touched, it would be fine; but i’ve lost track of the number of times i setup a linux system for newbies and got emergency phone calls that the install was broken only to discover that they clicked on some kde setting somewhere that they both forgot about and didn’t understand.

it’s sort of like people deleting the windows folder on a windows system because they don’t think that they use it.

Firefox, with ublock origin and yt high definition plugins, so I can have a decent yt player. I have disabled/hide chrome, I have no need for it.

slazer2au , to android in What Browser do you use on Android, and why?

Firefox, because it is not chrome based.

Just came up with another idea, suggest stuff to OpenStreetMaps if the area needs to be edited or added.

Edit: and rate stuff on yelp, TripAdvisor, or something else like that.

AngryClosetMonkey ,

If you are interested in open street maps, then you might want to check out the StreetComplete app. It will give you various quests to complete and achievements to unlock.

Anonymouse ,

I’ve been doing street complete for over a year now and didn’t know how much I would enjoy it. It’s also doing something for the community of people who use open street map data (usually hobbyists or folks looking for an alternative to the privacy violating giants). I feel proud of my work when I see my contributions on OSMAnd+ or when I post a picture of a place and somebody can use that data to contribute to the map.

Crotaro ,

Can confirm, StreetComplete is very fun to enhance your general existence in / awareness of a place.
