Because only a few people have a truly symmetrical face. Your hair acts as a sort of frame and so a middle part can end up emphasizing the imbalances that exist and thus make you look more lopsided. There are also additional considerations to a beautiful face. Symmetry is one, proportion is the other. You can have a very symmetrical face but if your features are smaller or larger in relation to it as a whole, then that can ding off a few points on the "beauty" meter.
That's why asymmetrical hairstyles can work so much better. It can shape your face in accordance to its symmetry and proportion and thus make it appear more balanced.
Imgur no longer renders galleries properly on mobile. I only see one photo and I’m not downloading the Imgur app just so I can see it - i think Imgur was enshittified well before Reddit was.
BlueSky is a private social media app and a direct competitor to Twitter. It was created by Jack Dorsey, formerly of Twitter, who encouraged and endorsed Elon Musk's purchase of Twitter. (Maybe this was a brilliant double cross.) I think the one difference between Twitter and BlueSky is users of BS (ha, I wonder if they thought of this abbreviation when they named their app) can edit the algorithm on BlueSky.
My thought (but may be wrong) is to use All and block those I don't want. This (I assume) would allow me to see any new areas. It's tons more work but I think ultimately it will expand my areas of interest.
I guess hair is never really symmetrical (think of curls and "flowing" hair) so you don't associate it with health and beauty like someone's face. Hair that is full and thick like the TV tells me hair should be is probably the sign of beauty we look for.
But what do I know, I'm as symmetric as a Salvador Dali painting.
I selected multiple languages and am sometimes having trouble posting comments from apps (Liftoff and Wefwef) as they don’t give the option to select a language… When I submit the comment I get an error message telling me to select a language. It doesn’t happen all the time though. For instance this comment was written on Liftoff.
It sounds like you've figured out how to get a leg-up on all of us in the dating pool. I say rock that middle part and enjoy the fruits of this brilliant discovery.
Did you mean “offline” as in not online (which makes little sense for a browser), or more like “not tied to a specific service that may hold your data hostage or infringe upon your privacy”?
If the latter, then I’ve found that a simple HTML file with manually added entries works great. I’ve set it as the home page in all my browsers. I retain full control over content and layout as well.)
