This is a new community on a platform that has had a massive surge of users, so there are going to be growing pains for a bit. My goal as a mod is to allow for conversation on both liberal and conservative ideas, and I believe several other mods agree with me. We may become more strict if this does become a liberal community, though.
An important tool for the mod team too is you guys flagging/reporting posts and comments. I check in almost every day and have received no reports for over two weeks. As the community grows, this will become even more important since we can’t read every post or comment. I have read nearly every one though, lol.

Then it’s misleading to call it c/conservative. You should have named it c/liberalVSconservative or c/PoliticalDebate instead. Conservatives don’t have any dedicated outlet on Lemmy yet and here you steal the name and allow non-stop brigading from libs.
Given the level of liberal bias on this community, I wouldn’t be suprised if you’re a lib who co-opted the name for insideous proposes. Lemmy is essentially a cesspool for libs.

I am very much conservative, and every day living in California with friends who say they hate conservatives and would never date a conservative or break up with someone who has conservative views further cements my conservatism.
Doesn’t seem very realistic for anti-depressant meds to cause what you are describing. Drinking alcohol while on most of the commonly prescribed anti-depressants just makes them less effective and more likely to cause liver damage or trigger epilepsy.
I know people with bi-polar manic depression who stop taking their mood-stabilizer meds because they think they don’t need it anymore, and then they go out and do a ton of crazy stuff while blackout drunk and remember none of it.
I’ve been trying to kickstart four communities because apparently I’m a masochist, but I’ve posted more in the last month than I did in the last 10 years on reddit. It reminds me a lot of my first couple of years on reddit (circa 2010/2011) and then my posting died off because you’d either get drowned out by the noise (hundreds or thousands of comments) or ignored in favour of a one liner joke.
I’ve seen a lot of people comparing Lemmy to early reddit, and I don’t necessarily disagree, but I feel like there’s one important distinction between the two. Even early reddit was driven by karma. There just wasn’t as much people >10 years ago. I find the lack of karma on Lemmy refreshing. How it’s gone back to the old forum way of just counting the number of posts is fantastic. It’s a weird habit to break out of though because part of me still wants to go “I got no upvotes, time to delete” or “I’m getting downvotes, better delete my post”.
Depends. If you have a lot of users posting a lot of pictures and you use pictrs out of the box config, then a lot. If you are just running a few users with finite communities being synced then a lot less. The number is going to vary a lot as lemmy grows and gets older so hard to document realistic expectations. But docker images are probably going to take up more disk space than actual contents unless you get quite big. I just threw my PG volume into a tgz to move servers and it’s less than a gig.

Even though Android has lots of open source code in it, many core components are actually proprietary. Just look at the state of Replicant, and you’ll see how much can actually be done with just the FOSS parts. It’s not really daily driver material just yet.

I agree with some of the other comments, Rhino is great but his survivability can end up being a crutch as far as playing other frames and keeping them alive. I recommend Nekros because the extra resources is nice and he’s one of my personal favorites but if you want to be tanky Rhino is the frame for you
