VanillaOS is pretty much what you’re asking for. The only real downside right now is that Orchid probably won’t have KDE support out of the gate

TheBestPercy , to books in Should I finish tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow? (no spoilers)

Oh don’t be afraid to stop reading a book. I ended up not reading the third or half of the second thrawn books because they got really boring and the author slowly made it seem like he was getting lucky instead of being the oh so smart man he’s supposed to be

Sendbeer , to nostupidquestions in If gas is lighter than air, do we get heavier when we fart?

Mark Rober did a good YouTube video on this.

TheBestPercy , to books in I wish "they" would separate "fantasy" from "romance fantasy" genre.

If you’re looking for a fantasy book right now timeline is my favorite. It starts off slow with historians as eventually a company goes to them sending them back in time (to another universe of the same time) to save the professor. It really focuses on the fantasy and medieval part and the ending is amazing. One of my favorite books.

somedaysoon , to nostupidquestions in How do I block entire servers?
@somedaysoon@lemmy.world avatar

On the apps, there isn’t a way to do it right now.

If you are using a browser with uBlock then you can do it this way: lemmy.world/post/435133

Or if you want to use a userscript with violentmonkey/greasemonkey: lemmy.world/post/466984

AlmightySnoo , to linux in What screen locker do you use and why?
@AlmightySnoo@lemmy.world avatar

Swaylock with Hyprland, I just run it from a terminal whenever I want to lock my screen but I guess I should make a keyboard shortcut for it.

ArugulaZ , to nostupidquestions in Anyone else feel like ~99% of their life was kind of wasted?

Kind of. I've amassed a fair amount of knowledge over the span of this life I'm over halfway through, but very little in the way of accomplishments. (Not counting the achievements in video games.)
