That game took an incredibly dark turn during the White Phosphorus scene. You know those top-down camera views in Call of Duty where you shoot enemies from the sky? This game does that, too. And then, boom, you find out that you just burned a refugee camp to the ground with phosphorus bombs. And this game actually forces you to walk through the travesty you just caused, and see all of the flaiming remains of soldiers screaming for help and buildings and cars burning and on fire. But, the most haunting part of that scene is the burning carcass of a woman holding her child as the white phosphorus breaches through the gate.
That image has been burned into my brain. 10/10 will not be playing again anytime soon
I’m a bit surprised by this. Had you not heard anything about the game? I’m not saying I expected that but I thought it was pretty clear from the start that the game was going to be subversive
I think a lot of the therapy speak we use in casual conversation is going to be embarrassing in hindsight. A lot of it is already verifiably inaccurate, but even the stuff based on real psychology can potentially be disproven as understanding and research methods improve. And people will quietly cringe remembering how they used junk science to justify being a dick in 2024.
Having an HTTPS enabled server behind a proxy means the server is connecting with the proxy endpoint. That’s not how HTTPS works. If you want HTTPS enabled for a server BEHIND a proxy, you would do it at the original hand off (forward proxy), in this case meaning the Cloudflare proxy that clients connect to.
You’re seeing the errors because the proxy backend is being told to speak HTTPS with Caddy, and it doesn’t work like that.
I’m Deaf and don’t care for sounds or the bass most of the time. That’s just me though. I know some Deaf people who love listening to music with headsets or playing video games with headsets. There’s a spectrum.
A lot of the actual, serious ones that knew what they were doing got caught. Some went to lulsec to be jerks with no agenda and were caught by the Feds. All that was left were script kiddies that downloaded the Low Orbit Ion Cannon and used scripts they find online. Then they left or were overtaken by alt right idiots.
The original Anonymous are in their 30s and 40s by now. Everyone ages out.
90s script kiddie here - a bunch of the shit you can do as a minor with low/no consequences becomes SERIOUS FUCKING BUSINESS as an adult with assets. It’s just not worth the risk to keep dicking around with things that might land you in prison or cost you everything you have.
I think the serious ones that didn’t get caught are now working in red team penetration testing, which is an industry that’s been growing exponentially since the years Anonymous did a lot of their big stuff
Hacking got harder, and the enforced penalties for getting caught became a lot more severe (in the west at least). This meant that most hackers aren’t doing it for luls but for serious business.
Add dirt daubers to the list. They’re my favorite. They build mud tunnels for their eggs and leave live paralyzed spiders in there for the babies to feed on when they hatch. They ignore humans.

Don’t like spyware in your OS? Install a FOSS OS. Unfortunately, firmware is mostly still binary blobs (I’m looking at Framework to do something about this but they’re taking a heck of a long time).
You don’t call your loved ones? I’ve yet to hear of companies putting ads inside phone calls. If you’re using a chat app that spies on you but your family doesn’t give a duck about it, use a matrix back-end and self-host it.
