I really don’t like the trend of things that should be articles, being videos instead. And I’m very unlikely to watch one of these videos. However, this is a personal preference and I don’t necessarily think videos should be banned from this community. Instead upvotes/downvotes could decide that; if no one wants to see videos, no one should upvote them.
This was the year I tried out Darcs & Pijul. With conflicts being less problematic & easier to collab without patch order mattering, you gotta wonder why all of this effort is still put into bolting stuff atop Git instead of moving on & helping the tooling in this space.
Second place would be Movim as a decentralized social media platform built atop the XMPP server you are already running.
Um, dnf doesn’t do anything with configuration files. It is used for packages.
I would start by trying to create that file. If that doesn’t fix it after restarting the service look into the docs. You may need to configure network manager.
I’ll have you know that when I was lost and low on fuel, I managed to land on an absolute shit hole of a backwater, barely a sentient being in sight, but those berries?
They got me home. Always fly X-Wing. Runs on anything.
Seems to be directed against me. Just want to make clear I dislike the (current) capitalist system and would not describe myself as a liberal. But I also see the benefits of a free market and the reasons why communism failed. ~> I ain’t extremist and see the need of a sustainable free market capitalism
Fun fact: I pretty much upvoted all of your memes as I see them to be accurate. Some however display problems which would also occur in a communist society.
Just don’t click on YouTube links if you don’t like them. Nobody makes you forces you to. No Lemmy client I know hides the URL and surprises you with video content. Plenty of video creators use that medium to showcase differences in technologies. Digital Foundry videos on topics such as frame generation come to mind.
They still clog the feed and cause accidental clicks.
At a minimum, all video posts’ titles should start with [VIDEO]. Making a user scan for some easy to overlook cue that they’re clicking on a video isn’t great design.
After enjoying Ys I and II, I played Origin, which was hugely disappointing. It just felt so unsatisfying to play, and the single dungeon was boring af. I pushed through hoping at least the story would get interesting, but after almost finishing it again with the second character it never did, so I gave up and dropped it. I’m not sure if I want to try the other games in the series, seeing as this is considered one of, if not the, best.
Literally just started playing Tales of Vesperia (~30 minutes). First impressions are that it looks really nice, the combat feels better than the other Tales I tried (Arise and Berseria) and I’m linking the setting and character designs.
