What’s wrong with kitty?

I’ve been using kitty for some time didn’t had any issues, and multiplexing is useful.

PS: i used tmux for many years, and still use on headless

This video explains it all in 19 words. Democracy relies on intelligent, informed choice. Republican voters typically lack one or both.

lolola ,
@lolola@lemmy.blahaj.zone avatar

The 19 words: “…because democracy basically meaningless…” (pause) “Government by the people, of the people, for the people… but the people are [fools].”

I’m inserting “fools” cuz I don’t wanna use outdated insults.

zingo , (edited ) to android in What Browser do you use on Android, and why?

Cromite.

Snappier than anything else (With real dark mode, adblocker, anti fingerprint and great security).

Never could get used to Firefox on mobile how hard I try.

On Desktop, it’s Linux with Librewolf.

There is no one-size-fits-all, but for fits most, you’re looking at KDE’s Konsole or GNOME’s new Terminal (formerly Ptyxis). Everything else is going to be niche, with special use cases. What are your specific needs?

I have a crowbar that I named Art. I like to compare my crowbar to a piece of art, it’s a masterpiece of engineering. So many uses for the humble crowbar, such a simple and powerful piece of equipment. I love the way it feels in my hand, I love the way I can stash it anywhere easily and keep it handy and secret. The Crowbar is Art, and I study the Art of the Crowbar.

YT plugin for Kodi is quite decent. Have it daily in use, no issues so far.

gravitas_deficiency , to asklemmy in What is a low technology you really love ?

Automatic (mechanical) wristwatches.

I love the idea of a truly symbiotic relationship between a thoughtfully and carefully designed mechanism and a human. I walk around and live my life, and by doing so, I give it the kinetic energy it needs to keep its mainspring wound, and in return it tells me what time it is. Always. Without fail. I just have to tweak the time if it starts to get too far off, but that’s barely even an imposition. After a good long while, it’s prudent to have them serviced, but if you’re not observing any problems, it’s generally perfectly fine, and will keep ticking along as long as you wear it regularly.

VinesNFluff , to asklemmy in What is your favourite animal?
@VinesNFluff@pawb.social avatar

I’m biased, I just sorta… Like all animals. All of them. So this reply is just my mood for today:

Mammal: Raccoon. The grabby hands, the masks, they’re just cool little guys

Bird: Crows. Clever and playful caw caw boys. Capable of incredible feats of animal intelligence.

Reptile: Tegu. The cats of the lizard world.

Amphibian: Poison dart frogs. Danger bois. Don’t touch. But they look so cool.

Fish: fish are not valid

Crustacean: Coconut crabs! They are big and cool.

Insect: Ants. Eusocial insects are really cool.

Mollusk: those really big snails that look like slime bunnies

Worm: Leeches. They’re cool to look at.

Arachnid: Jumping spider. They are smols.

I’m running a RPI4 with LibreELEC + Kodi.

YouTube runs better than the official app, at least for my needs.

LibreELEC + Kodi works out of the box with the TV Remote. And you can use Kore (android app) to get a full keyboard.

tkw8 ,

Do you use a remote control or a wireless keyboard & mouse. I’m looking into this setup and am curious how others drive their home theater machine.

pfaca ,

I use the TV remote control for the basic stuff. If I need to type something longer or more options, than I switch to Kore (official Kodi remote by the same developers). You just need the phone to be in the same network.

Never felt the need to connect keyboard+mouse.

Hylactor , to nostupidquestions in Seriously, what the f*** is keeping Donald Trump in this presidential race?

It’s a race between junk food vs. an actual meal. Junk food is easy and self indulgent, real food requires time and effort. It doesn’t matter that junk food is a terrible value and lacks any nutrition. The Trump people choose junk, conservatives choose Trump people because the Trump people are mathematically mandatory to maintain their caste.

SnotFlickerman ,
@SnotFlickerman@lemmy.blahaj.zone avatar

It’s actually hilarious that you choose this comparison because I am always seeing disgustingly obese conservatives making fun of other people for being fat, but then clutching their pearls when anyone calls them fat.

Feathercrown , to nostupidquestions in Seriously, what the f*** is keeping Donald Trump in this presidential race?

Some voters arestill “undecided” because “both sides are the same” (aka they don’t know how to tell fact from fiction)
