It depends

There are a lot of devices geared toward schools. Many of these devices are certified to be dropped and have keyboards that are completely sealed. They are designed for students who are abusive and highly destructive. Some even have military certifications. I’ve scene these devices survive being stepped on and covered in coffee

Fly strips work. They work even better after catching a few flies (I guess misery loves company!). They’re cheap too.

The vinegar thing is for fruit flies or gnats - it doesn’t really work on typical house flies.

I know it’s hard to take pity on the US, but real people do suffer from the consequences of these monsters. Also, pretty much any cancer the US dreams up has a nasty habit of spreading elsewhere. Don’t assume you will stay forever safe from the tyranny abroad.
