Made the switch this weekend :) From Win 11 to Mint 22. Haven’t run into any real issues really. I have the occasional screen tear on some videos in firefox though. Haven’t searched around enough yet to figure that out, but otherwise all good.
I hate it because I also hate pretty much all the bots. Automatic postings, pedantic auto-correction bots… all of them absolutely fucking suck and have contributed directly to how shitty the internet has become.
What do you mean bring them back? They didn’t really go anywhere as a whole. There are still forums out there, it’s just far more popular to use Discord now. If there is a particular forum you have in mind, the way to bring that back is to host a replacement and then try to convince people to use it. It’s pretty trivial to set up some forums.
If it’s rained in the late afternoon then stops by nighttime, the frogs in the marshland across the street seem to synchronize their songs and get very very loud.
I’ve heard katydids do the same thing at night after very hot days.
