I freaking love this idea.

Oops, I mean: HONK!

Yeah let’s share suicide methods with each other

deaf_fish ,

You’re the only one talking about suicide here.

The fact that your mind went immediately there is a little worrying… Is everything alright?
And I’m not shaming you or being sarcastic, just talk with someone if what I’m saying is true

“I can hear the innermost thoughts of plants” - yup, sounds crazy to me! (Therefore let’s do it - make it happen!:-)

To transfer your pee via bluetooth, obviously.

pHr34kY ,

We call it “streaming”.

You are responsible for the rest on the exam, regardless of whether the professor was able to “find time” to talk about it during class or not:-).

We should put whatever latency compensation NASA uses in Vidya James.

You know I’ve never quite bought the hermit crab shells = houses analogy. They seem much more analogous to armor.

ShinkanTrain ,

I’m so pissed hermit crabs have a better fashion market than we do

expatriado ,

wonder how much color saturation was added to those pics, looks like the knob got turned to 11

ShinkanTrain ,

That’s just how the deep sea lures people in. Come see our bright jellies, you’ll be safe

Stovetop ,

That second picture looks AI generated, why is it backlit?

MossyFeathers ,

Semi-transparent creatures combined with no natural light makes things look unnatural at that depth. Also, considering many things are bioluminescent at that depth, that creature in particular might be generating its own light.

Edit: wow I’m dumb and misread. I thought you were talking about the first image. Yeah, the second one is very fake

Lycist ,

2nd image is from the movie “Lighthouse”, and that’s just how it looked.

OpenStars ,

It might be from that outreach program to kids - I even saw something made up to look like a mermaid in there:-). Anyway yeah, whether made for or by kids, it’s definitely stylized.

halvar , to science_memes in Hermit Crab Housing Market

An animal named a hermit crab has better social relationships than humans I’m so pissed.

solsangraal ,

as a hermit human i can confirm: less human interaction = more mental health

Well if that sauce is good for them…
