Excuse me nutte sac is the proper designation. Please, this is a serious science forum

Adderbox76 , to science in Is there a scientific calendar which uses a different reference than Jesus?

Historians don’t use “BC” and “AD”. Haven’t for a while now.

While the arbitrary date remains the same (year zero), it’s C.E. (common era) or B.C.E. (Before common era)

FYI

I_Miss_Daniel , to science_memes in Hermit Crab Housing Market

In Australia we lose about six months wages to ‘stamp duty’ if we move. Better to stick with the oversized shell.

mariahale342 , to asklemmy in What passport to use traveling to USA with two citizenships?

The US does not recognize dual citizenship if you are a US citizen then you must use your US passport to enter the country.

It’s only really fine if someone calls me an appearance-based compliment if they’re my partner or a woman that I’m close to.

mariahale342 , to mildlyinfuriating in Wayfair's call center insists you give them your SSN before they'll file a report for credit fraud

To be honest, Wayfair won’t be able to help you. I suggest you go through Citi if you don’t have an identity service. It’s wild that someone from Wayfair asked for your social security card.

Ah, so they have more than one possible haircut than the outrageous-mega-afro-on-a-stick-figure that alpacas are famous for.

When I filled it out, email was required, phone was not.

Also, I use proton.me, and they have a really nice email masker, so you can generate throwaway email addresses, which is nice!

DerArzt ,

Wait what? Been using them for years and I didn’t know about this. TIL

nieminen , (edited )

It’s in the proton pass app. You only get so many in the free tier, but I did the premium, so it’s unlimited.
