On the flip side, too much of that sweet, sweet serotonin will fuck you up. At the very least, it’ll make you sweat like a stuck pig while you (unknowingly) begin tiptoeing toward the precipice of full-blown serotonin syndrome.

Source: Was on Adderall 30mg plus tiny 25mg Zoloft dose “for anxiety maintenance” for two years. Well, at some point this past fall and spring, I must have started making more serotonin naturally or magically idk, not a doctor or witch doctor. And I only recently reread the serotonin syndrome symptom shortlist and finally put two and two together. One’s face should not literally drip sweat walking around a 74° house to grab laundry and one’s heart rate should not be spiking to 160bpm merely attempting to put gotdamn makeup on that very same face, the face full of fuckin sweat fountains.

I wasn’t just maintaining my anxiety, I physically manifested my anxiety in all the worst ways.

jaybone ,

74 is pretty warm to me unless you are in a really dry climate.

peopleproblems ,

I don’t think Adderall affects serotonin receptors, just dopamine and some norepinephrine.

However, that tiny ass dose of Zoloft could be a huge ass dose if your body doesn’t break it down.

IkarusHagen2 ,

Well yes, too much seratonin is bad but how about at least a little bit?

My dad fought the Nazi’s they lost

“Oh I’m sorry. How did they die?”

“Die? No, we lost them. And now we cannot find them”

“Oh there they are! Right there!”

Open sudoku?

As you can imagine, I’m no fun at parties…

PlexSheep ,

Which one? And does it have killer sudokus?

flambonkscious ,

Dunno what killers are, but it’s this one

bionicjoey ,

No variant rules unfortunately according to the Fdroid. You should check out the sudoku games from Cracking The Cryptic on the Google Play store if you want that. They aren’t FOSS but they have hundreds of handcrafted puzzles for a few bucks.

Cethin , to programmerhumor in Anyone here use assembly?

Anyone who thinks OP asking about Assembly with this meme should play the game Turing Complete. It’s great. You have to design a computer all the way from the most basic logic gates (I think you only get a NAND gate to start), designing an ALU and CPU, creating your own machine language, and writing your own programs in the language you designed, and it’s all simulated the whole time. Machine language is pretty advanced as far as things go.

Cavemanfreak ,

We got to do something simular in uni. We modeled the CPU in VHDL and had to set up our own language, then we were to program a game for it. One of the most fun and interesting courses we got to do!

FreeCiv is a classic and still fun. rogue and nethack are good, too.

bdonvr , to nostupidquestions in Is this normal for girls or just a extreme edge case? (Serious question)

Hairbrush handles are much more common. I’d say most girls probably haven’t used vegetables.

arin ,

Most hairbrush handle designs are intentionally… yeah. But plastic is porous and nearly impossible to fully disinfect, so girls who reach puberty should be provided with high quality silicone or glass to protect them from getting a bad infection. Prudeness in our society will just hide issues like infection until it gets really awful.

hemko , to nostupidquestions in Is Asmongold an alt-right "entrypoint" influencer?

Eh, I don’t get alt-right vibes off him but he does often have controversial takes of things such as asking his followers to bully people who purchase mtx shit to put pressure on the game developer which I honestly find just beautiful.

Also earlier he didn’t really care about administering of his chat, and that caused it to become quite cesspool

Integrate777 , to linux in How was your experience using Linux in college?

It went great. I mostly had to submit files in PDF, which allowed any office software to work perfectly.

That is until covid came around and I had to do proctored online exams. The proctoring software doesn’t support linux.

FundMECFSResearch , to showerthoughts in Under the Third Geneva Convention a foreign POW has more fundamental rights than a US citizen in the USA

I can guarantee you disabled people don’t have those rights in basically any country except maybe finland.

I’m from switzerland and if it weren’t for family taking care of me I’d be dead on the street.

Just so happens to be the two countries I’ve recently been in. Completly different people, confusingly similar names. Also Serbia.

angstylittlecatboy , to nostupidquestions in Is Asmongold an alt-right "entrypoint" influencer?

He strikes me as more a rube that occasionally picks up alt-right talking points than a dedicated follower. At least on one occasion he called out Moon, a shitty right wing video essayist, for lying, but he went really hard on anti-Sweet Baby Inc. content.

So I guess he could unintentionally? But intention doesn’t really matter here. His fanbase probably leans right too.
