I try to watch all of them. They are always super informative and entertaining. They always are about something I am interested in. They are always super short and never get in the way of what I am trying to read or actually view. I particularly like how they sometimes play more than one video so it can be a two for one!! Thanks internet ad gods!! /s
Call me crazy, but I loved mine (near the end). No crease, could still multitask fine. The fact it folded shut kept me from opening and doom scrolling as much. Could throw a video on one screen and “tent” the phone easily.
But yeah, the software took awhile to get even “okay” out the gate and that really hurt the user experience. I felt I was always wrestling with mine over something for the first 6mos even.
People should be scared, this kind of thing will likely be normal eventually. It’s amazing how quick people just become normalised to shit like this. I remember a Reddit post about Angry Birds 2 where someone had posted a picture of it requiring an internet connection to play and then had just written “Uninstalled” beneath it; now like 80% of the free games out there require an internet connection to work. We could have Netflix that’s half the price and included password sharing, we could have all games working offline, and so much more, but there’s so many people out there simping for these corporations that don’t give a fuck about them.
So many things became normalized… paywalls, popups, clickbait titles, bloated sites, all sorts of data collection and abuse, geographic restrictions, being forced to have a phone with you all the time, having to use apps as the only means to access stuff outside from the internet, software obsolescence of functional hardware, and the list goes on.
And here we are, like boiling frogs, collectively accepting everything.
This now makes me wonder if I could call Trump and just claim to be some random famous person and he would take me seriously and go on the news about it. I honestly can’t decide what is weirder, making up a random, easily verifiably false story about lizardman calling to apologize to the ex president about his company, or the possibility that this may have actually happened.
Reminds me of the party game you play where people write a story by taking turns saying a word. It ends up just being rambling nonsense that has no direction.
Language Model for sure, but “Large” is giving him too much credit. He speaks like a smartphone predictive text keyboard trained on a dataset of elementary school worksheets that somehow got contaminated by posts from /pol/
Sounds interesting. Like some sort of underground secret sporting thing that the French are doing? I wonder if this will catch on in other countries too? Are there nude pillow fighting videos and stuff like that?
It was on Fox news so it was probably something like “Facebook illegally allows Democrats to exist and they broke the constitution by not forcing your content on to everyone at all times. What do you have to say to the evil baby killing transgender DEI Democrats about that? Did Zuckerberg fix the woke bug?”
