I have a vps where I host a few things and I tried adding jellyfin. It worked and while scanning media railed the CPU/ram, once it was done everything was smooth. However, despite having all dependencies a bunch of videos didn’t play. I also don’t need the music and ebooks side of jellyfin as I’ll be using other things for...

I am already fairly comfortable using docker and its tool set. Is the tide shifting towards Podman? Should I start learning how to use Podman? Thanks in advance.

The Wikipedia definition seems to indicate it has origins as a racist term and I’ve never understood why unix users have adopted this terms instead of something benign like “themes” or “theming” which I remember being in use long before I ever heard “rice”. Movies have been getting longer for a few years or so but they are especially long this year. Look at the biggest films this year and see how they are about 20-30min longer than they would be in the past....

I grew up an avid gamer. But now, among my 50-hour work week, helping my kids with their math homework, grocery shopping, and house chores, I’m no longer able to find enough free time to really dive into a game.
