All the times I just put docker-compose.yml to one user (my user) directory and call it a day....
I’m looking for a self-hosted alternative to Trello, primarily with the ability to set due dates for items across multiple boards, but have a single consolidated calendar showing due dates across the boards. Mattermost Boards does not offer this. Any ideas?
Just came across this on an old wish list, had completely forgotten about it!...
I have been curious of this one since it’s a feature that mastodon has, and while I understand with FOSS software anyone can disable that, but usually people don’t and if I knew they were doing that I would defederate them.
I wanted to download a book that is no longer in print, but I discovered LibGen is down on the .onion and on the .fun domain, the .rs domain gives some scary warning message from my router about child pornography. What happened, is my dear LibGen gone?
i migrated from mastodon to firefish recently, and now i’m thinking of moving back to mastodon on account of the shit mobile support firefish has. is this possible?

Hi all, ultimately I’d like to experiment with a whole new os, but I gotta save up a little to buy a pixel. I’m currently working with a galaxy s21 ultra....
Is this some simple virtue signaling (for closed source app) directed at users that are not technically inclined? I didn’t see this being promoted at this level in any other app.
Thought I would let you all know in case you have missed it. A few days ago Postgres support was finally merged into Sonarr dev branch (meaning 4.x version). I have already transitioned to it, so far it runs without issue...
I currently run a Lenovo minipc and an rpi4 to host all of my homelab services, and I just purchased a new minipc with an 11th Gen i5 in order to better handle Plex and transcoding. I would also like to add Immich to my homelab. Here is a breakdown of my current state:...
Yesterday i upgraded ff to the current version and since today i experienced problems with a bunch of different sites. Either the cloudflare verification sends me into a loop or i get through and the site’s not working correctly. Some others work, though. Disabling add-ons (noscript, ublock) and allowing all cookies didn’t...
Tuesday, Tuesday. Up here in Scotland (specifically Edinburgh) it’s the last day of the school holidays. To any other parents north of the border - we’ve done it, folks. The end is in sight. Looking forward to tomorrow’s hectic early morning followed by a day of bliss....
I just stumbled across this while trying to learn a bit more about using the command line, and thought others might appreciate it. It comes in a printable format so you can stick it up on your wall :)...
Some times, when reading Lemmy comments, it seems that some word in the comment was replaced with “removed”, in italics. Is the app censoring comments? Is my lemmy instance doing that? Is there a way to turn that off?...
I’m looking to offload all my media from my main PC and make it accessible to other devices in my house. It’s likely to only be a few TB, probably 2 drives at most....
If you want to be online, but want to block internet to certain apps like work apps, messaging apps etc, and continue using rest of your apps, you can do it using this app....
Ahoy!...
My GF loves lattes, but she’s lactose intolerant. She refuses to take lactose pills, for some unknown reason....
I use NetNewsWire on my iPad and Feeder on my Android phone to read RSS feeds from multiple sites (including Lemmy and Kbin). I also use it to monitor niche sub-reddits so I can give Reddit as little traffic as possible....
As the title says. I have been searching for something like Kodi but more focused on an offline library manager for all the media I have. I can just navigate with the file explorer through my folders but it just looks not that pretty. Is there anything like a library manager to display my videos/music in a similar way of big...
Is anybody aware of any self hosted alternatives to Parrot.ai or Otter.ai? I’ve tried these services and I’m finding them very useful, but the price tag is a little steep. It seems like something that the open source community could solve. Anybody know of any projects, either existing or upcoming? Thanks!
I see the question asked a lot in Linux groups, so I hope this bit of knowledge may help someone here.
